If you are a follower of Christ, do not be surprised when you encounter seemingly overwhelming situations. You can be certain the Spirit of God, intentionally brings you into awareness of circumstances too big and too broken to be fixed by money or power. Yes, He puts you right in the middle of real messes! But He puts you there with a purpose.
Throughout the ages, God’s people have faced every imaginable cultural, physical, and spiritual challenge. From murderous monarchs to natural disasters to plagues and poverty and corruption in trusted institutions, God’s people are not exempted from the realities of life on Earth. However, God’s people are called to come alongside the suffering and do something about the problem. Have you ever stopped to realize, you may be the only person in the entire world praying for a specific difficult situation or person you are thinking about today?
“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16).
As you stand in faith asking God to intervene in the struggles you see, God hears and responds. You are called and equipped to bring healing on Earth in the name of Jesus Christ. Just pray!
Ask for the ministers in America’s churches to train disciples to become dedicated intercessors.
