"WATCH" WITH JOY

Church: SHHHH!! This is the time to walk on water! Tune out the world, and those who are speaking against our blessed hope!

When Peter walked on water his eyes were on Jesus and when he started drawing his eyes were in the storm! Jesus says, "Watch"! Eyes on Jesus! We're about to enter the highest watch season of all time: Feast of Trumpets between Sep 15-18, depending on the calendar you're looking at.

DO NOT GET discouraged from watching this week. It doesn't matter who they are, what titles they carry, or how long they have been walking with the Lord! Jesus commands us to WATCH! full stop! He doesn't say: "Guard your heart and don't get too excited" or "While I tarry be careful not to lose your hope or much worse your faith, because then you will lose your salvation"— those are lies from the pit of hell!! Satan knows that you are a pre-tribulation believer, so he is selling you the next big lie: "It's not this year!" "Nothing in the Bible tells us that it could be this year" DON'T BUY IT!

These people who are out there discouraging us from being excited don't have a 'Thus saith the Lord in their hands! So, do what Jesus commanded us to do: WATCH and be excited about it. After all, it's called the 'Blessed Hope'! These people have nothing but their own opinions!

TOP LIES OF THE ENEMY:

1. If you watch and Jesus doesn't come you will lose hope: Hope is a gift of the Holy Spirit it comes from the love of God. It's secured— we are INCAPABLE of losing it!

If we could lose it, we would have lost it a long time ago - probably the next day or week we became Christians! But here we are...He carried us through and we can experience that joy and hope every morning.

" Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:5

2. If you lose hope, you will also lose faith. Faith is a substance; it is the glue that binds us to Jesus when we become Christians. Faith is the substance we develop in response to our belief in Jesus Christ.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Heb 11:1

Jesus is both the author and the perfecter of our faith. He initiated it, and He will see it through to the end.

Just as flour cannot be separated from cake batter, faith cannot be separated from us. He mixed us — with faith — and now we're in the oven, being baked and about to be taken out.

3. If you lose faith you will lose your salvation: WRONG!!! We're sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption, which is the rapture!

"You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit because you believed in Christ." Ephesians 1:13

Your hope, faith, and salvation are secured in Jesus! You cannot walk away; Jesus is holding you tightly in His hands. You are a child of God, He adopted us, and He will not let you go!

Jesus commands us to encourage (not discourage) each other with these words — what words?

"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thess 4:17-18

NOW: Enter this week with a heart filled with hope, faith, and excitement. Yes, looking foolish to the world and the rest of the church, giddy and believing as a child — Lock your eyes on Jesus, quiet the noise of the storm, and walk on water!

JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON
