UNDER HIS WINGS

Like a mother weeping over her children who have rejected her, Jesus grieves for Israel today when He says: "How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!"

-It's time to turn to Jesus!

He is coming!

I believe this is one of the most sorrowful statements made by the Lord Jesus. He grieves over Israel like a mother rejected by her child who is hurt and in pain. There is no desire for revenge, no hatred for their stubbornness, no wish for harm — He just wants to help them, heal them, and comfort them.

In the face of rejection, Jesus grieves with the heart of a broken mother. He came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, God's chosen people, through whom all the families and nations of the earth would be blessed.

They were entrusted with the holy Scriptures and the promises of God, who vowed to send a Messiah to save His people from their sins, and yet they rejected Him! They were special among all the nations as the people chosen by God to establish a covenant. Chosen to spread the good news of God's gospel to the Gentile nations and proclaim the gospel of the kingdom to the entire world— but they, unfortunately, did not receive Him!

Instead, they broke their covenant with God and drifted far from the Lord. Still, He was expressing His deep longing to bring the people of Israel into His loving care. Despite their rejection of Him and the prophets, Jesus still shows His deep love and care for them!

Today this statement is a powerful declaration of Jesus' love for us — Jewish and the Church. It is a reminder that no matter how far we may have strayed from Him, His love for us never fades, and He is always ready to gather us under His wings and bring us back into His loving care. It conveys the idea that Jesus desires to protect us from harm, to comfort us in times of distress, and to guide us towards the path of salvation.

Today, those wings are still trying to reach out to gather the young. He is reaching His wings out to you! Have you been gathered? Are you safe and secure, gathered under the shadow of His wings? Or have you stubbornly resisted the shelter of those wings? Can you hear His cry? Can you see those wings stretched out to you? Stop your stubbornness!

Hear His lament for you. See His wings outstretched toward you.

Experience the safety and security of a life hidden under the shadow of His wings. He wants to save you so you may abide safely forever with HIM!

Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who shed His blood for you, died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him.

The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!

The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)
