THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH

Jesus came for the first time as a sacrificial lamb to die for our sins. He was oppressed and afflicted, and He didn't defend Himself. Soon, He will return as the "Lion of the tribe of Judah," as a KING ready for battle to reign over the earth. The time to come to Jesus is now!

In the book of Genesis, Jacob blesses his children, he specifically blesses Judah. He tells Judah that his brothers will praise him and bow down to him. He also describes Judah as a young lion who returns from hunting and lies down, fierce and strong.

He also says that in the future the scepter and ruler’s staff will not depart from Judah - "until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be His."

"The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people." (Gen 49:10)

Jesus fulfills this messianic prophecy. Jesus is the long-awaited Lion of the tribe of Judah, the only One who is worthy to open the scroll of God's judgment or even to look inside it. He is the Root of David, the One who has triumphed and is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.

"Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to lose its seven seals.” (Rev 5:5)

He is the true King and the one to whom the obedience of nations is due. However, His worthiness doesn't come from His fierceness or the force of His power. The Lion has triumphed because He willingly became a sacrificial Lamb, to die for us!

When He returns for the second time, He will come as a roaring Lion, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. With His mighty armies from heaven, which includes His faithful Church, He will wage war against His enemies. He will establish His rule over the nations and establish His glorious kingdom in Jerusalem. The power and authority of His reign will be unmatched. His triumphant return will mark the ultimate victory of righteousness over evil and the fulfillment of His divine plan for the world. It's time to believe in Jesus the Lamb and the King!

Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him. The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!

The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

There are certain points we all need to understand about the salvation of Jesus.

  • First, we all are sinners and stand under the judgment of God.

  • Second, God loves us, and Jesus came to make forgiveness and salvation possible. He died on the cross as the complete sacrifice for our sins. He took on Himself the judgment that we deserve.

  • Third, God in His grace offers us the gift of eternal life. But like any gift, it becomes ours ONLY when we respond and receive it.

  • Fourth, salvation is intimately linked to Jesus and the cross. Jesus’ virgin birth, by the miraculous intervention of the Holy Spirit, meant that He did not inherit a sinful human nature like we did. Neither did Jesus commit any sin during His lifetime. Jesus became the only perfect Man, and as such, He was uniquely qualified to put into action God’s plan of salvation for mankind. On that cross, Jesus took the punishment of our sin. He was our Substitute. He suffered the judgment and condemnation of death that our sinful nature and deeds deserve.

  • Finally, faith is essential for salvation. But, there are various kinds of beliefs or faith, and not all are linked to salvation. In the New Testament, faith means more than intellectual belief. It involves trust and commitment. I may say that I believe a bridge will hold my weight. But I really believe it only when I commit myself to it and walk across it. Salvation faith involves an act of commitment and trust, in which you commit your life to Jesus Christ and trust Him alone as your Savior and Lord.

SALVATION PRAYER

Committing your life to Jesus is a personal and individual decision. By praying a prayer like this, you are inviting Jesus into your life and releasing your cares and worries to Him.

“Jesus, right now, I ask you to become Lord of my life. You are my Savior and I thank You for the sacrifice You made on the cross. I receive Your grace and confidently believe that my life is forever changed.

Jesus, help me to live for You. My heart and my life are open to what You have for me. I want to know Your ways and love people as You love me. Everything within me is submitted to You. Thank You for Your mercy, hope, and unfailing love.

In Your name, I pray, Amen.”
