THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT

Be desperate for Jesus, and cling to Him with your whole being in unwavering faith!

Be brave, be courageous, and let God use your imperfect faith to heal you and complete you! His eyes are fully on you when you approach Him desperately in faith!

We all know the story of the woman with the blood issue who "touched" Jesus in a thick crowd where everyone was touching Jesus - but actually, she didn't touch Jesus - she touched His clothes. And when she did, Jesus asked, 'Who touched me?' What He meant was: 'Who clung to me with their whole being in unwavering faith?'

“You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me? Mark 5:31

She risked everything to get her healing. Her sickness made her unclean. She couldn't be in physical proximity to others, especially in a crowd. Her uncleanness was a legal offense carrying potential punishment - she was brave to be in that crowd! Her belief was so strong that it connected with God more deeply than anyone else in the crowd.

All Jesus knew was that someone touched him because power had flowed out from him. Her faith wasn't perfect - she held some superstitious beliefs. There was a common belief that a person's powers could transfer through their clothes. Even though Jesus recognized her faith mixed with superstition, He met her where she was. Her imperfect faith was accepted, this shows God's nature – even imperfect faith moves Him!

“If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Mark 5:28

This woman was going through a desperate time in her life. She was pushed away by others and treated like an outsider - her sickness defined her. Her self-value might have been crushed. Being isolated made her feel like nobody noticed her in society. Some people believed that getting sick meant God was punishing you, so she probably faced rejection from her family, maybe even disowned by her father. That's why Jesus called her "daughter," making her feel like she belonged to Him. Before, she might not have had anyone to protect or defend her, but now she did. Even if she felt unwanted, Jesus openly claimed her as His own.

"Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

This translates to “go into peace.” This final instruction means she not only got better physically but also received salvation. On that day, her soul found healing and salvation. The peace that comes with the assurance of being saved would now belong to her.

She received the rest and the peace that Jesus promised to those who wholeheartedly trust Him.

Whatever you are facing today, be desperate for Jesus.

Approach Him boldly and bravely, pushing everything and everyone aside, even with your imperfect faith. He will open the heavens, and you will find the rest and the healing that you need IN HIM!

Let's cry out to Jesus, allowing Him to complete His work in us, and let's keep looking up! He's coming for His 'completed' Church.

IF YOU ARE NOT IN CHRIST, GET SAVED RIGHT NOW.

Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who shed His blood for you, died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected on the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him.

The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!

The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

(John 3:16-18)
