Just like Peter, some of us walk on water right before falling into it - BUT JESUS - takes us, draws us out of many waters, and delivers us from our strong enemies and those who hate us! Church, Keep your eyes on Jesus and walk on water!
Our redemption is near! One evening, Jesus sent his disciples ahead of him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee while he went up to a mountainside to pray. During the night, a strong wind came up and the waves began to toss the boat.
Just before dawn, Peter saw Jesus walking on the water toward the boat and he called out, "Lord if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." Jesus replied, "Come," and Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. However, he was afraid when he saw the wind and began to sink, crying out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. He said, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
We are in the middle of the storm! Look at what's happening around us - Israel, Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, and the USA! The only way to survive the raging winds and waves is to keep our eyes set on Jesus.
How?
By thinking about the fact that He saved us - think about what we lost in the fall and what He is giving back to us when He redeemed us and bought us back with His blood!
Let your mind be filled with this: He will come to save us from this sinful world! We will get back our perfect and supernatural bodies.
We will never grow old.
We will not get sick ever again.
We will not suffer.
We will have perfect minds.
We will experience a perfect pleasure.
We will have a perfect identity.
We will not die.
We will always be in His presence.
We will worship Him.
We will have the perfect family!
We will be His wife.
We will rule and reign with Jesus!!!
We own everything He owns.
We will have authority.
This is what Jesus meant when He said to Look up!
Look at Him, what He has done, and what He is giving us back!!
EYES ON JESUS AND WALK ON WATER!!
Time to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, He died for our sins, was buried, and resurrected to give us back that life.
He's coming for His Church! Run to Jesus!!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
