It must be admitted that the term “covenant” is not found in the first 3 chapters of Genesis, but this is not tantamount to saying that they do not contain the necessary data for the construction of a doctrine of the covenant. —Louis Berkhoff, Systematic Theology, Pg. 208

As faith ‘counts all things dung for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ’, so unbelief accounts the person, offices, doctrine, and laws of Christ as dung and dross in comparison of the excellency of self-righteousness, self-wisdom and self-dependence. —Stephen Charnock Satan hath a great advantage to this end, to drive to despair, from the guilt of our consciences; and an advantage to accuse us, from the darkness and ignorance of our hearts, and unacquainted-ness with the largeness & extent of the gospel. —Puritan Stephen Charnock, Works 4:209 If a promise appears, Satan darkens it; if the soul cometh to close with it, Satan endeavors to beat off their fingers, and tells them they have not, nor are ever like to have, qualifications for the promise. —Puritan Stephen Charnock, Works 4:208 While others waste their time in vain jangling and unprofitable controversy, let us take up the cross and give all diligence to make our calling and election sure. —JC Ryle

There can not be continued faith without reading the word of God!
It’s been said you have nothing to fear but fear itself, and that may be true. But truer still is the necessity of a healthy fear of God. “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name” (Psalm 86:11). “Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death” (Psalm 33:18-19). I want to feel for God that same fear I feel when teaching His word every day.

You are destined to live on the Crazy Cycle. But, of course, none of this is true!
