When I choose to be transparent about my struggles, I position myself to receive and give comfort and encouragement to others. It sounds so simple, doesn't it? It is - if we choose to be transparent. Don't be IFy, be Willing...
Transparency is not revenge in disguise nor does it give us permission to unload every problem we have on everyone we meet. Transparency is being willing to let others see who we really are and what is really going on in our heart and life.
Transparency is not a spiritual license to rip someone apart or tell them off. I know what it is like to take an emotional risk only to be blasted under the guise of "just being honest."
Every Christian should feel that he has God's seal upon him-and he should be able to say with Paul, "From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus."
The parent’s life is the child’s copybook.

[British preacher Charles Haddon] Spurgeon [1834-1992] was a character. His style was so loose he was criticized again and again for bordering on frivolity in the Tabernacle pulpit.
Certain incensed fellow clergymen railed against his habit of introducing humor into his sermons. With a twinkle in his eye, he once replied: "If only you knew how much I hold back, you would commend me....This preacher thinks it less a crime to cause a momentary laughter than a half-hour of profound slumber."
Too often mankind looks upon God's mercy as recognition or reward for the work we've done. We think our efforts cause God to look upon us with more favor. However, if God rewarded our desire or effort with His Mercy, then we would be filled with pride because of what we had accomplished. The election of God is not something we can run for, earn or win. It does not depend on anything we do.

“To attract attractive people, you must be attractive. To attract powerful people, you must be powerful. To attract committed people, you must be committed. Instead of going to work on them, you go to work on yourself. If you become, you can attract.” Jim Rohn
“What you become directly influences what you get.” Jim Rohn
“The big challenge is to become all that you have the possibility of becoming. You cannot believe what it does to the human spirit to maximize your human potential and stretch yourself to the limit.” Jim Rohn
“Don't say, ‘If I could, I would.’ Say, ‘If I can, I will.’” – Jim Rohn
“The few who do are the envy of the many who only watch.” – Jim Rohn

“People need people. Anyone can look up answers online or dig around in books and find pithy statements of cheer and cleverness. But to really develop as people, we need each other.” -Doug Bender,
Confession isn't a punishment for sin; it’s an isolation of sin so it can be exposed and extracted.
Satan traffics in guilt and will not give up without a fight. Exercise your authority as a child of God. Tell guilt where to go. IN THE NAME OF JESUS!
We have one business on earth—to save souls.
~John Wesley~
Spend time in God's Word. Read the Bible and let His promises sink deeply into your soul. Take time to meditate in the Scripture and jot down those things that the Bible says to do or to be. The more we know what the Bible says, the more we know how to live.
If you are feeding upon God’s Word and waiting upon Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit, then you will have victory in the Lord. God wants us to be victors, not victims; to grow, not grovel; to soar, not sink; to overcome, not to be overwhelmed.
~William A. Ward~
self-confidence is a trap for fools.
By getting rid of that misplaced trust and placing our full confidence in the Lord as our faithful Provider, we will begin to experience the type of prosperity that God promises to those who love him.
When we are greedy, we can only see the world from a selfish perspective. Every person is looked at like a prospect, as someone who can do something for me.
C.S. Lewis said, “ I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
Faith will lead you where you cannot walk. Reason has never been a mountain climber.
~E. W. Kenyon~
If you are walking in close fellowship with God, and His Word is at home in your heart, then you will pray for things that bring God glory. If you are praying for self-indulgent things, then it would be doubtful that you are maintaining a living communion with Him and that His Word is at home in you.
Greg Laurie
It's good and right to love your spouse immensely, but we absolutely must love God most.
When we place undue pressure on our spouses for our joy, peace, and even love, we set them up for failure. They will inevitably fall short, and if we’re leaning on them for our security we’ll fall with them.
If we’re not full in Christ, we will have an immensely hard time being fulfilled by our spouse.
Nowhere does the Bible teach that sex in itself is a sin. But from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible condemns the wrong use of sex. ~Billy Graham~

Author Ron Jenson says, “To be wise is to be a craftsman at living, an artisan of life.”
Our responsibility is to receive what God is offering us, and to pray for teachable hearts, allowing our passions to reach their potential, governed by wisdom.
When I was in school we had fire drills and stop, drop, and roll. Now schools, churches, and corporations practice Lock the door lights out, and hide. As much as we don't want to admit it, this is the new normal.
Christians should not become unstable like the waves; they should be steady and on course. When they believe our God, there is tranquility, peace––no ripples, no waves. Christians should enjoy peace and rest, knowing their problems are in the mighty hands of God
Raul Ries
Leaders, our rhetoric is only as strong as our lifestyle . . . our charge is only as strong as our example. Let us teach our Timothys what life has taught us . . . how to keep our heads in all situations.
Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.
~C.H. Spurgeon~
There is no other basis for the personality, morality, dignity, and value of man, save that it is founded in the fact of this personal, infinite, creator God.
Alistair Begg
