QUOTES

Unresolved conflict is the enemy of peace, and peace is often the casualty of unresolved conflict in relationships.

Temptation always comes when you are tired, Satan always attacks your weaknesses. Your weakness is the condition of your heart not the condition of your body.

Disobedience and unbelief are two sides of the same coin.

~Ronald Dunn~

A little encouragement can be all someone needs.

Love Your Enemies

An Armenian nurse had been held captive along with her brother by the Turks. Her brother was slain by a Turkish soldier before her eyes. Somehow she escaped and later became a nurse in a military hospital. One day she was stunned to find that the same man who had killed her brother had been captured and brought wounded to the hospital where she worked. Something within her cried out "Vengeance." But a stronger voice called for her to love. She nursed the man back to health. Finally, the recuperating soldier asked her, "Why didn’t you let me die?"

Her answer was, "I am a follower of Him who said, ’Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you’." Impressed with her answer, the young soldier replied, "I never heard such words before. Tell me more. I want this kind of religion."

Stay in your own lane. Run your own race. Nothing good happens when you compare and compete. God’s yardstick for measuring faithfulness is how faithful you are with your own gifts.

You are not responsible for the nature of your gift. But you are responsible for how you use it

While God is with us no matter where we are, He established the church for His people to worship, be taught His Word and have fellowship.

Fellowship with Christians is for the sake of

To be of one mind is to allow the mind of Christ to dwell within each of us. It doesn’t mean we are to be robots programmed to think and act exactly the same. The mind of Christ allows our differences to be expressed in gifts, methods, and types of service, and even in minor doctrinal focus.

“Gratitude is about more than repaying benefits; it is about building relationships… [It] is a detection-and-response system to help find, remind, and bind ourselves to attentive others… Gratitude can be understood as an emotion that serves the social function of promoting such relationships.”

Truth arouses emotion and incites to action. So does error. If we reject the truth and embrace error the consequence is heart-hardening.

~A.W.Tozer~

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) The grace of God here is connected with the phrase "much more." What a grand description of His grace- the "much more" grace of God! God's grace is "much more" than forgiveness. It is "much more" than the new birth. It is "much more" than we have yet understood. It is "much more" than we have ever yet experienced.

She’s not looking for a knight in shining armor.

She’s looking for a man covered in the full armor of God.

Life on the New Earth will be like sitting in front of a fire with family and friends, laughing uproariously, dreaming of the adventures to come—and then living those adventures together with no fear that dreams will be shattered or relationships broken.

Better to miss 100 meals than miss your daily reading of the Bible.

Ray Comfort

“Only one life to live, it will soon be past, Only what is done for Christ will last.

The apparent conflict between grace and truth isn’t because they’re incompatible, but because we lack the perspective to resolve their paradox. The two are interdependent. Jesus wasn’t 50% grace, 50% truth, but 100% grace, 100% truth.

Randy Alcorn

If you understand the plan of salvation you are sufficiently instructed to be a good witness for your Lord. Oh, that the Holy Spirit may make you such!

~C.H. Spurgeon~

God is not distant and unapproachable, but rather humble and loving. He comes down off His throne and lowers Himself to interact with His children. He’s our Daddy, after all, and a perfect one at that.
