QUOTES

Updated: Aug 4, 2023

It is an ongoing, everyday work that needs to march out of the pews into the world, armed with passion and a purpose to take the love of God wherever He leads us.

Begin praying today to discover your promised land, your calling in life. The work of the Lord is not confined to the church.

We can’t put sin in a compartment and think that’s the end of it. Sin stinks. Its stench will permeate everything and mess up every aspect of our lives. That is why it needs to be dealt with.

It’s miserable to live in unconfessed sin. Proverbs 28:13 tells us, “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” (NLT).

If you want to know the intricacies of a subject, the best thing to do is find an expert, someone who has far-reaching experience with it.

Jesus is with you always. Look for Him. Look to Him! Bring Him your praise. You are so loved in Him without fail, every moment of every day. Don’t forget it!

Sometimes it's hard to imagine how the Israelites, who had such great demonstrations of the power and nature of God, would turn back to unbelief. The same can be true of us as well. We need to protect our minds from the deception of Satan.

Our God is a God of promises. He characteristically works by making and fulfilling promises. We are His children. We are children of promise. We were birthed spiritually into God's family through faith in His promises. Two sons of Abraham (Ishmael and Isaac) provide a vivid contrast that attests to our sonship by promise.

"Do not be discouraged by your incapacity to dispel darkness from the world. Light your candle and step forward."— Amma Syncletica

We must do something about the cross and one of two things only we can do — flee it or die upon it.

~A. W. Tozer~

If you are still following a course of self-pleasing you are only deceiving yourself if you think you have come to Christ.

~A.W. Pink~

“God's commands are designed to guide you to life's very best. You will not obey Him if you do not believe Him and trust Him. You cannot believe Him if you do not love Him. You cannot love Him unless you know Him.” —Henry Blackaby

Did you ever read John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress? The scene where the main character, Christian, runs toward the Celestial City is how I see the joy of repentance.

The word gospel means good news and repentance is the first word of the good news.

It is a tumultuous time in the history of this country. It is very evident that the dark forces of the devil have taken hold of the hearts of so many. It is not an easy time. God has called the believer to be a light…

Speak softly and firmly of Jesus, and live a life that is dynamic in its reflection of the fruit of the Spirit even in the midst of persecution.

Our challenge is to keep our minds filled with the truth of Christ and our emotions fired with the warmth of Christ so that we will attract the people around us with His quality of life. There is no such thing as secret discipleship… Disciples cannot be hidden.”

We have nothing to do with what will follow our obedience, and we are wrong to concern ourselves with it. What people call preparation, God sees as the goal itself. #myutmost |

Jesus promised He'd return to rapture His church - which entails the resurrection of the dead in Christ of the Church Age, then the translation from earth to Heaven of all living believers. It is presented in the Bible as an imminent (any-moment) event. Then comes the seven-year great tribulation; then comes the second coming of Jesus Christ; then comes the 1000-year kingdom on earth; then comes the final judgment of all mankind; then comes eternity - with the Lord in Heaven, or without Him in conscious torment in the Lake of Fire. Are you ready for the rapture? If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up. Ready or not, Jesus is coming!

Repentance is a military term meaning “about-face.” So when you’re facing temptation, listen for the Lord’s kind voice calling you to turn away. If you’re deeply entangled in a pattern of sin, don’t wait until your ship is falling apart. Call upon the amazing grace of your Heavenly Father. He never ignores the call of a repentant sinner.

Ministry… for such an overused word in Christian nomenclature, it is also often the most misunderstood concept. To many people, the word ministry automatically translates to pastoral responsibility, public preaching, and this overwhelming feeling of religious responsibility. Maybe this is why most people would rather not be associated with the title. The mere mention of the word has a larger-than-life feeling.

When it comes to our functionality in the Kingdom, our tools are different and our expressions of devotion are unique, however, these are all considered acts of ministry in God’s eyes. Paul provides a four-part charge to his young apprentice (1) keep your head in all situations; (2) endure hardship; (3) do the work of an evangelist; and (4) discharge all the duties of your ministry. The first two charges encourage Timothy to focus on his inward disposition; the latter two are calls to action.

Our God isn’t a distant God. Not by a long shot. And it must mean something to our ordinary work and life that Christ—our Lord and savior—sees it fit to take part.

You can't have one without the other! Everyone quotes Proverbs 3:5 but if we lack in verse 6, then who are we trusting in?

If you watch the news and know anything about the Word of God and can link what's happening in this world to the End Times, it is time to stop procrastinating. What are you waiting for? Don't be left behind. All you need to do is believe in Jesus, confess that you are a sinner, and surrender your heart.. that is it... John 3:16...

America, enough political correctness and hide the head-in-the-sand approach to the real danger facing us. We're being invaded by terrorists with a "destroy America and Americans" agenda. The next election can't come quickly enough. Not to be ignored.

When Jesus laid out for His disciples what it really meant to follow Him, many of His so-called disciples left. Then Jesus turned to Peter and the others and said, "Are you also going to leave?" (John 6:67). Peter said, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life" (verse 68). I love that.

God will preserve you in your ways, not in your wanderings.

~William Jenkyn~

Society can dispense grace and prison terms at the same time. To forgive is to move on, not to think about the offense anymore. You don’t excuse him, endorse her, or embrace them. You just route your thoughts about them through heaven. In Romans 12:19 God says, “I will take care of it!” Let Him!

There are two types of people, the ones that say Thy will be done and the ones that say my will be done.

“I willingly believe that the damned are, in one sense, successful, rebels to the end; that the doors of hell are locked on the inside.

-C S Lewis

“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice, there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened. ”

― C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce

THE GREATER THE LIGHT SHOWN ON US THE GREATER THE ACCOUNTABILITY!

YESTERDAY ENDED LAST NIGHT, TODAY IS NEW. STOP LIVING IN THE PAST.

Looking back is the enemy's way of keeping you from seeing the blessings ahead.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR RESPONSE TO AUTHORITY: IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TOO IMPORTANT TO BE UNDER, YOU'RE PROBABLY TOO IMMATURE TO BE OVER.

"NEVER JUDGE THE CHARACTER OF OTHERS BY SOMEONE ELSE'S VERSION OF THEIR STORY."

STOP PURSUING THEM! GOD GOT RID OF THEM ON PURPOSE! THEY WERE POISON 2 UR ASSIGNMENT, TOXIC 2 UR CHARACTER & THE VENOM FROM THEIR GOSSIP WAS ABOUT 2 DESTROY UR REPUTATION. 2 FULFILL UR CALLING, GOD LOVED U ENOUGH 2 RELEASE FROM U WHAT U WOULDN'T LET GO OF. TELL GOD THANK U!

Prayer is God’s divinely authorized methodology to access heaven’s authority for earthly intervention.

As long as Satan can keep you from praying, he is satisfied that he has diminished your role in this kingdom battle. When you pray, you usher in spiritual solutions to the problems at hand.

Prayer is an essential requirement for exercising and experiencing kingdom authority. It releases God to do His will on earth.

Jesus is Lord. You can rely on His power and authority to overrule that which is in opposition to you living out your purpose and kingdom destiny.
