For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. – Isaiah 65:17
Have you ever noticed how people light up at the prospect of a new car, a new phone, or even something as small as a new haircut or article of clothing? It’s a natural human instinct to get excited over new things. Are you just as excited about the ultimate “new things” Jesus will be bringing with Him when He returns?
At the end of the book of Isaiah, the prophet describes the new Heaven and the new Earth that God will create after Jesus returns to Earth one day. Christians know that when Jesus came to Earth for the first time, He brought salvation to people. But before leaving, Jesus promised that one day He would come back to Earth to finish the work that He started. God promises that He will build a new Heaven and a New Earth, that will be far better than anything today. There will be safety, peace, and plenty in this new place.
Isaiah 65 is full of exciting descriptions of why Christians can look forward to the new heavens and the new earth that God is going to create. Find hope in knowing that no matter what happens in this world, the best is yet to come! Thank God for what He has already done and all that He has yet to do
