My soul longs for your salvation; I hope in your word. – Psalm 119:81
God has promised that there is a day coming when massive change will happen on the earth. It will come when it is least expected, even though signs and wonders will precede it. It will happen when there is instability in the world when
nations rise against nations and kingdom against kingdom.
Good news! It will happen soon. The rapture of the church, the body of Christian believers, will happen in the twinkling of an eye.
The old South African bishop said, “I have been saved; I am being saved; and I shall be saved.” His initial salvation was at the time he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. In “being saved,” he was referring to the ongoing sanctification that comes as the believer abides in Christ, learns from Him, and matures in his walk with the Lord. That he shall be saved refers to that time of the blessed and glorious hope Christians have of spending eternity with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
According to Charles Ryrie’s Basic Theology, the Rapture of the Church “means the carrying away of the Church from earth to heaven.”
Are you ready? Does your soul long for that day? Do you trust the Lord and His Word? The Lord will soon return for you and for all of those whom He has redeemed, catching them up before anyone knows what is happening. Pray for pastors and teachers to share the truth of Christ’s Gospel and of His return, so that many will be gathered in the harvest.
