The only way to defeat the spirit of the antichrist roaming this world is to seek knowledge and wisdom! Knowledge is to know and understand what the Scripture says - wisdom is how to apply it. We need the knowledge to see the red light but the wisdom to hit the brakes!
Jesus foretold a future time when deception would reach alarming levels, with the rise of false messiahs and prophets, even God's people could be led astray!
"For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (Matt 24:24)
Also, the apostle Paul, in his letter to Timothy, sheds light on a significant event known as the great apostasy. People will depart from the faith - this will take place before the antichrist's appearance.
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, This is the spirit of lawlessness and the antichrist." (1 Tim 4:1)
He tells us to remain steadfast and not be fooled by lies and twisting of the truth. He wants us to hold on to the true teachings we have learned and not be influenced by wrong ideas or the teachings that can lead us away from God.
The spirit of the antichrist is actively at work, putting in extra hours on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media outlets. There are teachers who profess to teach God's Word, some identifying as Christians, while others claim to deliver messages from God that go far beyond what is written in the Bible.
This is why it is vitally important for us to compare every teaching with what the Bible says and invest the necessary time to evaluate what is being taught. We need to be alert and ready to filter everything we read and hear, through the Holy Spirit, so that we won't be deceived.
This is where knowledge and wisdom become our power. Knowledge is defined as "information gained through experience, reasoning, or acquaintance" - this is the information we acquire through studying the Bible.
Wisdom is defined as “the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting.” Knowledge can exist independently of wisdom, but wisdom cannot exist without knowledge. In other words, it is possible for someone to possess knowledge without being wise, without knowing how to apply it — this is why we see so much distortion and twisting of the truth these days. It's due to the lack of wisdom!
Knowledge is the ability to recognize whether the traffic light is green or red, but wisdom is what enables you to understand when you need to hit the brakes. We need both!!!
If we lack knowledge, we need to study the Bible. If we lack wisdom, we need to ask for it - it comes directly from God."
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." ( James 1:5)
In order to defeat the spirit of the antichrist, we need to consistently study the Scriptures and continuously ask for wisdom and guidance. This ongoing pursuit enables us to align ourselves with God, ensuring that our thoughts, actions, and beliefs remain anchored in the truth. True knowledge and wisdom begin here!
Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, so we can have eternal life with Him.
The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!
The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, be with you FOREVER!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
