JUST LIKE THE WISE MEN

The time when God wraps up history is near!

Just as the wise men traveled hundreds of miles through the desert, following prophecy and observing the star of Bethlehem to find Jesus, we have been traveling for 2,000 years, but soon — just like they did — we will be on our knees worshiping our King!

We've journeyed a long way, just as the wise men did in the past. Those wise men likely came from 'the East,' maybe from Persia, which is now Iran. That's an 800 to 900-mile trip they made just to meet Jesus!

And just like them, some of us have been traveling for months, others for years, or even decades, all in pursuit of that moment — to finally see Jesus face to face and fall at His feet!

Their journey was lengthy, tiring, and even dangerous. Enduring fluctuating desert temperatures, from scorching days to freezing nights, going maybe even through storms. Towns would be few and far between, with incomplete maps, poorly developed roads, and the widespread presence of thieves and bandits around. Their journey was difficult, challenging, and exceedingly lengthy. (wow, just like ours!)  It was a journey of faith.

They didn't know where they were going, how to get there, or how long it would take. They didn’t have a lot of information. All they knew was what God was telling them through His word. (Just like when we started) "But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel."

While there was evidence in Scripture, there wasn't definitive proof that they would encounter the King they sought. Nevertheless, they chose to believe. We witness their faith through their journey and their question to Herod: “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” Matt 2:6

This was a journey of faith, they believed the Word of God and followed the Spirit of Prophecy.

They left everything behind, homes, comfort, and their means of making money at that time.

Why?

Because they believed! (Just like we left the world). God did not abandon them in the middle of their journey. Notice in verse 9 says “The star which they had seen in the East went before them.”  While they were still in their own country before leaving they saw the star. Evidently in the middle of the journey, they did not see the star for a while, which is why they went to Jerusalem, possibly assuming the King of the Jews was born in the capital, that's why they about where He would be born. But then at the very end of their journey, God showed them the star again, filling them with joy as they recognized this sign from God, signaling they were almost at their destination.

"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy." Matt 2:10

After a long journey, tiring, lengthy, and dangerous journey they finally arrived. Their action was very simple. They fell to the ground and worshiped!

Jesus, the God-Man deserved their worship.

“That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and of those under the earth". Phil 2:10

They were the very first in recorded history who bow down before Jesus. No one told them to. No one made them. They chose to worship him. They were the first of many! This was an unusual thing to do. Not many people knew who this boy was or what He would do, but they recognized Him. They faced many problems on their long journey, and when they finally got there, all they did was bow down to worship Him.

Just like them, we're on a journey of sacrifice, faith, and obedience. When He finally shows up, it'll be worth it all.

Everything we've gone through will be so worth it, and we'll bow down at His feet to worship Him. There will be nothing greater than that!

Keep following the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Holy Spirit—that same supernatural light that guided the wise men will keep guiding us. He'll miraculously show us the path to find Him and worship Him — because He's deserving of all honor, worship, and praise!

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Rev 7:12

KEEP LOOKING UP (not down, not in front)! JUST UP! OUR JOURNEY IS COMING TO AN END!

IF YOU ARE NOT IN CHRIST, GET SAVED RIGHT NOW!

Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who shed His blood for you, died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him.

The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!

The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)
