Elisha and His Servant

When you feel that you are surrounded by a strong army, DO NOT BE AFRAID!

Just as Elisha asked God to open the eyes of His servant, let's ask the Lord to open our eyes so we may see that there are more with us than those who are against us!

Keep looking up!

This is such a great story!

2 Kings 6: 14-16 Elisha and his servant are surrounded by the Syrian army, and Elisha’s servant is terrified, “there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him: “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”.

Elisha looks at his servant and says, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

At this moment, Elisha's servant is likely wandering, "What are you saying? We have greater numbers on our side. Well, there are two of us, while they have a massive army!" He’s probably thinking, "Elisha, the "amazing prophet", might be wise, but right now, he seems clueless.

Then, Elisha prayed, saying, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see" and amazingly, the servant's eyes were opened, and he saw something incredible.

"When the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha."The servant saw the spiritual world, and it totally transformed how he saw things.

The servant had a sudden realization that, indeed, they had greater numbers on their side than the opposing army.

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed" 2 Cor 4:8-9

"For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." Deu 20:4

GOD IS WITH US!

Keep fighting the good battle of faith!!

KEEP LOOKING UP!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)
