The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord, he turns it wherever he will. – Proverbs 21:1

Have you ever considered the wills of God and your life? We all know there is God's moral law in the word, The Logos in the Greek, It means it is living and breathing.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word (Logos) of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And we all know free will. Free will is where most believers focus on. We know we are not robots and are all sinners saved by grace and it is not of works

13 You, my brothers, and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

But I find when counseling Christians, they are quick to bring up their freedom in Christ and neglect His sovereignty.

God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and is everywhere.

If you are not in line with God's word and sovereignty then your freedom is in sin.

God's whole agenda is to chain you and your heart to make you holy.

When viewing satellite images, you can often see the course of a particular river… or where a river once was flowed but has since dried up. Diversion of water out of its natural channel happens as a result of powerful flooding, changes in water flow from upstream, earthquakes, or even through man-made intentional relocations of a waterway for commercial or other purposes. Frequently, during a large construction project, the water flow can even be temporarily diverted by using artificial rivers or small containment areas.

The verse is a reminder and it is reassuring. Your is like a river. In God’s hands, it can be molded, turned, and shaped. The hand of the Lord will turn your life just as He can turn the course of a babbling brook or even shut down a mighty river. God’s hands are on the controls and the hearts of every person are in His hands. He can change minds and redirect affairs according to His own will and plan.

Consider how God hardened the heart of Pharoah and softened the heart of King Cyrus. Neither of these men knew or even acknowledged God at first, but God’s hand was on their hearts. God worked through King Solomon to build His first temple, and again through King Darius and King Artaxerxes on rebuilding it from the ruins. Your heart is in the hands of our Almighty God.

Trust in your Father and His plans for the nation and for the world. He is in charge and at work.

I have talked about Job and how God worked in his life and how he was faithful. If you are His child He will work in your life too. Weather you want Him to or not.
