Each one of us is uniquely designed with a specific purpose! Our circumstances and surroundings cannot redefine it! Regardless of our situation, whether constricting or daunting, God will break those chains, lift us up, and guide us to fulfill His purpose, all for His glory!
Keep looking up!
Right after Peter was used by God in an incredible way to preach the gospel of salvation for the very first time, opening the door of grace to Gentiles and laying the foundation for the Church — he was arrested and imprisoned by Herod! (Acts 12)
During this time, the Church kept praying for Peter, pleading with God to set him free. His escape seemed almost impossible—he was closely watched, sleeping between two soldiers, secured with two chains, and guards were posted at the prison doors. But despite these obstacles, God's purpose for Peter's life remained, and His plan was still in motion!
Once again, God was about to perform the impossible!
God sent an angel during the night to rescue Peter. Despite the impending execution, Peter was peacefully asleep. His ability to rest calmly during that night demonstrates his exceptional courage and unwavering faith. Peter was in such a deep sleep that the angel couldn't wake him gently—instead, he had to give Peter a smack on his side, I find this hilarious!
"And he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!" Acts 12:7
When Peter woke up a bright light was shining in his prison cell. The angel helped him stand and urged him to hurry. The chains fell off his hands, and the angel guided him to fix his clothes by tying a belt, putting on his sandals - and finally, putting his coat on. Then the angel instructed Peter to follow him, and Peter obeyed still feeling half-awake, believing he might be experiencing a vision. They passed the slumbering guards at two stations, and eventually, the angel led him to the iron gate by the street. Surprisingly, it opened by itself, and Peter found himself about a block away from the prison gate before the angel suddenly vanished.
He had been delivered!
Then Peter said: “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and all the expectation of the Jewish people.”
Let's rest just like Peter did, in the face of impending challenges. No matter what we're going through, God has a plan to rescue us.
His purpose for our lives will prevail, even if He has to do the impossible!
NOTHING and NO ONE can hinder His will in your life!
Let's keep watching and keep looking UP our DELIVERANCE and our DELIVERER is coming!

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)
