Mercy isn’t a savings account. You don’t accumulate “credits” that God pays you in eternity. Mercy is a state of being that comes from Christ’s indwelling presence within you. A lack of mercy would suggest Christ’s character is not being formed in a person, and that he or she doesn’t know Him.

What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus Christ? Philippians spells it out.

First, we are called bondservants of Jesus Christ. A follower of Christ is going to serve His will. Second, we're called saints in Christ Jesus. Notice that the preposition changes. We are servants of Jesus and we are saints in Jesus.

The Bible gives you instruction and tells you what you ought to do when you come to Jesus Christ. Anything to do with witchcraft, reading Tarot cards, astrology or anything satanic, must be thrown away. Do not keep it in your house.

Sin is a Christian is like a diver’s dress on land—awkward

Whatever controls your thoughts, controls your life.

Let's ponder once more these tremendous words in Hebrews 13:20-21. When the Lord works in us unto obedience ("what is well pleasing in His sight"), He Himself is the one who appropriately receives the glory ("to whom be glory forever and ever").

Throughout eternity, God is to be glorified and magnified by all. "I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: 'Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!' And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: 'Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!'"

If someone is going down the wrong road, he doesn’t need motivation to speed him up. What he needs is education to turn him around.

It is not about knowledge and wisdom it is about the anointing of God!

We do not grow by knowing all of the answers, but rather by living with the questions.

“In a media age, we assume that… when questions are asked, we must deliver the right answers. In every age, the truth is… when you want to deliver the right answers, ask good questions” (The Revolutionary Communicator, 48).

The Revolutionary Communicator, they argue that great leaders often have more question marks than exclamation marks at the end of their sentences. “Great communicators understand that well-formed questions can be wielded as a battle horn, soft and low at first, then growing as they echo from mind to heart and back again, serving as a clarion invitation to new possibilities and previously unconsidered truths (The Revolutionary Communicator, 49).

There is nothing as effective as spending time with Jesus to change our attitude, opinions, or general outlook on life.

It is only when we are in Jesus that true change can occur. Spend time with Jesus. Abide in Him, as He abides in you.

Place God first by developing an intimate friendship with Him. Then you will be ready for whatever God has planned for your life.
