The reference in Gen.2:24 for one flesh is 'echad, it means unity but deeper it is in reference to the number one. in other words one + one = One not two

The word Koinonia refers to oneness and singleness of heart through the unity of fellowship. This to happens in marriage and in the body of Christ.

UNITY!

A life of Christianity is a life of unity. We are one in the Spirit and One in the Lord.

The unity that exists between Christ and His disciples does not destroy the personality of either. In mind, in purpose, in character, they are one, but not in person. By partaking of the Spirit of God, conforming to the law of God, man becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ brings His disciples into a living union with Himself and with the Father. Through the working of the Holy Spirit upon the human mind, man is made complete in Christ Jesus. Unity with Christ establishes a bond of unity with one another.


The cautious Christians should not condemn the more permissive ones, and those who feel free should not cause the weak to sin by pressuring them to do things that their conscience did not yet allow.


Faith and hope are distinct yet related, both are byproducts of reading the word of God.


When movies are box office hits, audiences crave a sequel. When the president of the United States has a great four-year term, you can most assuredly expect him to run for a second. When dinner is delicious, you may ask for another helping. When people experience things they love, they always want a continuation of a good thing.

Have you ever spoken to people who are non-believers? They always have doubt and questions in their minds about eternity. They wonder When I die what really happens to me? According to the Scriptures, the body dies but our spirit goes on to live forever. Depending on your decision to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior, will determine where you spend eternity.


Paul taught in the synagogue but found many of the minds there to be hardened and unmoved by his arguments. Undeterred, Paul left them and began teaching in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. The same should hold true for us as well when we share the Gospel yet are met with resistance--sometimes we simply need to move on!

There is nothing, naturally speaking, that makes us lose heart quicker than decay—the decay of bodily beauty, of natural life, of friendship, of associations, all these things make a man lose heart; but Paul says when we are trusting in Jesus Christ these things do not find us discouraged, light comes through them.


Being a student of the Scriptures, perhaps he had studied the prophecies of Daniel. If he did, then he would have discovered that Daniel gave an actual timetable for the birth and ministry of the Messiah. And not only did Daniel tell us that the Messiah would come, but he also specifically said that He would be cut off.


An estimated 50 million Americans claim to be “born again.” However, if there were 50 million genuine born-again Americans today, we would be living in a different country right now.


In our grief, we can more clearly see God because He meets us in the desert to provide guidance and comfort.


Do you feel alone in your trouble? It’s easy to feel that way and think that way. But, God is with you! He will never leave you. He sees you. He loves you! Let’s pray today for His comfort and a deep sense of His presence.


We are to live by trusting in the goodness of the Lord. "Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" (Psalm 34:8). Jesus is the ultimate example of living by such trust. When we think of being like Jesus (or we ask, "What would Jesus do?"), the biblical perspective is far more profound than prevailing opinion might provide.


The new covenant of grace (at its very core) is a covenant of relationship. God's grace enables us to grow in spiritual intimacy with our Lord. "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Here, grace is linked with growing and with knowing the Lord. As surely as grace was for spiritual birthing, grace is also for growing. The most strategic area of spiritual growth is progress in a deepening relationship with the Lord. Paul prayed in this manner for the saints: "that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him…and increasing in the knowledge of God" (Colossians 1:10).


Talk to God! He is listening to you! Your prayers matter! No matter what your circumstances are, call out to Jesus who is waiting to hear from you.
