Jesus died over 2,000 years ago. Yet, nobody ever refers to Him as the late Jesus. Never is He referred to in the past tense. Why? Because, of the resurrection! He is the living God!

But there are also times when we, as in the apostles' example -- will suffer a disgrace for the Name -- and we just have to endure. However, if you have the apostles perspective you will be "rejoicing" that you have been counted worthy and you will continue on -- as the apostles did -- day after day never stopping!

The resurrection of Christ is the difference between a dead religion and a personal relationship. Living by resurrection power is the difference between earthly striving and heavenly reality. These differences can be seen in the contrast between the religious authorities of Israel and the disciples of Jesus.

The disciples were proclaiming to the people the wondrous message of the risen Lord Jesus. "They taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead." Such a message infuriated the religious leaders. "The priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed." Today, many religious leaders reflect a similar response.. In the popular religious world, universalism and skepticism prevail. Each religion is viewed as one more road leading to God. For many, the miraculous is unacceptable, as human reasoning reigns supreme. In many religious circles, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is either an object of scoffing or an area of hypocritical compromise.

The ultimate blessing of the new covenant of grace is that it allows people to develop an intimate relationship with the true and living God. We began our personal history greatly separated from God: "you who once were far off." How could we ever comprehend the "vast relational distance" that our sins brought between us and the Lord? We could not relate to God.. We could not talk to Him or enjoy His presence. We were "without Christ…having no hope and without God in the world" (Ephesians 2:12). Therefore, we were "alienated from the life of God" (Ephesians 4:18).

As we understand the brevity of life and value our time, we'll gain a wise heart that seeks the Lord's will.

If God is leading our choices, we'll find peace, contentment, and joy.

…”The Tomb is Empty! Jesus is Alive!”

There is no “ruin value” to be considered in God’s works. What He does in a human life is “renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).

The message never changes only the audience. In Matthew 13:3-8, Jesus sowed one seed, the truth.

Don't give up on people, God never gives up on you.

Love is not to get involved with the perfect person,

one of our dreams. There are Princes or Princesses.

Take the other person so sincere and real, exalting their qualities, but knowing your defects. too Only love is beautiful, when we meet someone we become the best we can be.

Persistence overshadows even talent as the most valuable resource shaping the quality of life. After all, no one ever achieved a goal by being interested in its achievement; one must be committed.

A smile is the shortest distance between two people.

There are no geographical borders to God's love. There are no religious things that you have to do in order to get God's love. Jesus Christ shattered all of that. Your relationship with the Lord, and His love for you, isn't about a religious activity; it's a relationship with Him. Jesus traveled miles to seek and to save those who were lost (Luke 19:10), and He's doing the same today. He is reaching out to you in love and compassion. It doesn't matter where you've been, where you're from, or what your social or economic status is. God loves you and is setting you free from your bondage. For whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

Upon the two hinges of faith and repentance do all the

promises of the Bible hang.

We rejoice over the realities of this Passion Week in history because it was then that God secured our future eternal life with Him. Jesus Christ is alive, therefore, without doubt, or fear, we also will arise, for in Him is life forevermore.

Jack Hibbs

He [Jesus] was forsaken by God for a moment in order that you would not have to be forsaken by God eternally.

~Chuck Smith~

On Tuesday of Holy Week, Jesus entered the temple and saw it that was being defiled by the money changers. In His anger, He drove them out. He then preached to the people that the temple was reserved as a place for prayer. The religious leaders sought to do away with Him. He and his disciples escaped Jerusalem, only to be confronted a day later by those same leaders who were not convinced that He was the Messiah

There are many things too difficult to fully understand, but the main thing is that you know for certain that your sins are forgiven and the hope of Jesus’ resurrection is also your hope for eternal life with Him.

When we alter our focus from ourselves and our own needs to the Lord and how He has provided so much beauty and wonder for us to enjoy -- it has a dramatic and joyful way of changing our hearts and lifting our spirits.

History proves that wherever Christians were active in their faith, it was in that place where society flourished because souls were saved. And a saved soul lives by God’s creative order.

Sincerity means that the appearance and the reality are exactly the same.

No matter what your story of failure is, Jesus’ payment on the Cross covers it. No matter how many times you’ve embarrassed yourself by sinning outrageously, Jesus looks at you with compassion. He stoops for you.

The Lord’s mercies are tender, loving, and kind. Just as He gave Peter a purpose, the Lord has such good plans for each of us.

That is the case with a lot of people when you confront them with the gospel. They don’t want to talk about it. They’ll change the subject. They’ll leave the room. Or, maybe they’ll barrage you with tough questions. They will do anything but listen carefully to what you’re saying, because they’re under the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

We can allow indecision to rule our lives as Pilate did. Awhile back I was talking with someone after a church service who indicated to me that she wasn’t yet a believer. I asked her what was holding her back.

Many times we can be undecided. However, there’s an element of faith required to believe in Jesus. You won’t necessarily have it all worked out in your mind. But if you will say, “Lord, I choose to believe,” then God will help you in that step you take.
