Whenever people really encounter God, they get humble. Isaiah said, "Woe is me, I am undone," and when Peter saw Jesus' power displayed, he said "Depart from me, I am a sinful man."
You might not be aware of it, but when Isaac Watts wrote the hymn "Joy to the World" he was writing about the second coming of Christ, not the first. As you sing words like "He rules the world with truth and grace," keep that in mind. Remember to reverence Him, because He is God.

Fascination is one step beyond interest. Interested people want to know if it works. Fascinated people want to learn how it works. Learn how to turn frustration into fascination. You will learn more being fascinated by life than you will by being frustrated by it.
