Jesus died on the cross, thus forging reconciliation among divided peoples. Consequently, how will you live today? Today is the day! This is the day!

“We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud piles in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

C.S. Lewis

As a believer in Christ, you have been chosen to answer the calls of a world in distress. Answer that ring with a faithful prayer for your neighbors and for your city.

The vision of your leadership is just as important as the pastors.

I can only say that observing these stories from the outside stirred me... but when I realized I was actually inside Jesus’s story (and He inside mine) it changed me. The fear and pride that captured my heart was finally dislodged. The fact that Jesus had to die for me humbled me out of my pride. The fact that Jesus was glad to die for me assured me of my fear. • Timothy Keller

Whoever strives to withdraw from obedience withdraws from grace.

~Thomas á Kempis~

Faith is the daring of the soul to go farther than it can see.

~William N. Clarke~

God has not forgotten you, and He never will. He hasn't caused your pain, and He never would. He loves you! But He does allow us to encounter pain. He allows us to experience our own weakness so that we may know His strength. He wants our attention, and He uses times of pain to refocus us. He shows us the compromises and mistakes we've made -- mistakes that would go unnoticed in times of great blessing.

God’s love is always supernatural, always a miracle, always the last thing we deserve.

~Robert M. Horn~

Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember - the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite at you.

The pursuit of power can separate the most resolute Christians from the

true nature of Christian leadership.

~Charles Colson~

"God did not give us His gospel just so we could embrace it and be converted. Actaully, He offers it to us every day as a gift that keeps on giving to us everything we need for life and godliness." –– Milton Vincent, A Gospel Primer, 5.

You might be cancelled on Earth, but your faithfulness will be honored in heaven!” —

Erwin W. Lutzer

Self-righteousness can feed upon doctrines as well as upon works; and a man may have the heart of a Pharisee, while his head is stored with orthodox notions of the unworthiness of the creature and the riches of free grace. John Newton

I say to all believers who read this, if you want your spiritual life to be more healthy and vigorous, you must just come more boldly to the throne of grace. —JC Ryle, Old Paths, Pg. 13

God chose us, not merely that we might escape hell and go to heaven when we die, but that we might serve Him here and now. And what better way is there of serving Him than by the spread of His gospel? —R.B Kuiper, To Be or Not to Be Reformed, Pg. 78 #Evangelize They [who deny penal substitutionary atonement] fondly imagine that they magnify the love of God. Actually they are making it very much smaller, and robbing it of its greatest glory. The love of God is so great that He delivered up His Son for us. —Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Rom 8.394

“God has given no pledge which He will not redeem, and encouraged no hope which He will not fulfill.” —Charles Spurgeon

I admit it: There is no preTrib ‘Secret Rapture.’ The preTrib resurrection & rapture will be very evident as bodies rise from graveyards & believers are taken up. Imagine the global chaos. ‘Secret Rapture’ is a derogatory reference that has no place in a sincere discussion.

When our feelings, emotions, preferences, lifestyles, and opinions don’t line up with the Bible… it’s not the Bible that needs to change.
