“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” CORY TEN BOOM
It’s interesting how our priorities can change. That’s why Bible memorization is so important. We have only so much room in our minds. Just as computers have a specific amount of memory to hold information, we have only so much memory in the minds that God has given us.
So many of us know the latest gossip about Hollywood celebrities, or we can recite sports statistics or other interesting facts. But are we taking the time to fill our minds with the Word of God? When we get God’s Word into our minds, it will stay with us forever. And when we’re tempted, we’ll have it to recall and use.
Read God’s Word with a desire to apply it to your life. It’s attention with intention. If you apply yourself wholly to the Scriptures and apply the Scriptures wholly to yourself, it will impact your life.
Some people see God’s laws as restrictive, as things that prevent them from really enjoying life. However, His commands protect us from the things that can harm us. And keeping His commands is the way to live life to its fullest. Therefore, the law is something that we should want to keep.
When we keep God’s commandments, we should keep them with all our hearts because we love God. We should want to keep them.
How easily we slip back and burden ourselves with unnecessary rules, laws, and social conventions. In our attempts to be religious, we forget that Jesus said, “The truth will set you free.”
"PRAYING YOU FINALLY GET DELIVERED FROM THE SICKNESS OF HOLDING ONTO OLD, TOXIC PEOPLE OUT OF FEAR OF LOSING WHAT'S FAMILIAR. COMFORTABLE ISN'T ALWAYS HEALTHY, IN FACT, IT CAN BE DEADLY! FREE YOURSELF AND LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!"
NOT BEING THEIR CHOICE DOESN'T STOP YOU FROM BEING GOD'S CHOSEN!
"WHEN YOU ASK GOD TO REVEAL SOMEONE TO YOU, DON'T PRETEND YOU DIDN'T SEE WHAT HE SHOWED YOU. LIKE IT OR NOT, BUT THAT'S THE REAL THEM!"
"IT'S BEEN HARD, BUT IT'S SHIFTING. IT'S BREAKING IN YOUR FAVOR. IT'S LINING UP WITH GOD'S WORD ON YOUR BEHALF. IT'S WORKING FOR YOU. IT'S SETTING YOU UP FOR BIGGER, BETTER AND GREATER. IT'S NOT OVER. IN THE END, IT WILL SERVE AS EVIDENCE THAT GOD'S HAND IS ALL OVER YOUR LIFE!"
"STOP PUTTING THE SAME PEOPLE FIRST, WHO KEEP PUTTING YOU LAST."
"I CAN'T CONTROL WHAT I ATTRACT, BUT I WILL CONTROL WHAT I ACCEPT."
"MANY MAY ENVY YOUR PROMISE AND PROMOTION, A FEW MAY ENVY YOUR PURPOSE AND PROGRESS, BUT NO ONE ENVIES THE PAINFUL PROCESS YOU PERSEVERED THROUGH TO GET HERE."
"GOD IS READY TO ANSWER, HE'S JUST WAITING FOR US TO ASK."
"PEOPLE HAVE TIME, HAVE NO TIME, OR THEY MAKE TIME. LOCATE WHICH CATEGORY THEY'VE APPLIED TO YOU, AND YOU'LL LEARN WHAT YOUR LEVEL OF PRIORITY IS IN THEIR LIFE. AND ONCE YOU KNOW, TREAT THEM ACCORDINGLY. "
"MAKING POSITIVE CHANGES IN YOUR LIFE WILL UPSET THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE. SO WHEN THEY WALK TOWARDS THE DOOR TO LEAVE, OPEN IT BEFORE THEM, CLOSE AND LOCK IT AFTER THEM, AND MOVE ON."
If we are going to win against temptation and sin, we must realize how desperate we are for Jesus and dependent upon His grace. Let’s endure!
The Bible does not teach that God helps those who help themselves; instead, God helps those who are at the end of themselves.
There are three distinct ways in which the Holy Spirit operates in a person’s life. First, there is the with experience; this is when the Holy Spirit comes alongside an unbeliever to convict them of their sin and to help convince them to come to Christ for salvation: (John 16:8)
Second, when a person repents of their sins and invites Jesus into their life, this becomes the in experience whereby the Holy Spirit makes Himself at home within them. Jesus now reigns in their life: (John 14:16-17). Third, another term is the upon experience, when the Holy Spirit empowers the believer for Christian service. When a person is baptized by the Holy Spirit, they become a strong witness for Jesus Christ, and they impact others around them. The reference to the upon experience is found in Acts 1:8
We can drink the crystal clear waters of heavenly love—or we can settle for the murky waters of temporary joy, and lose our source of beauty, goodness, and truth—treasures the human soul longs to possess.
I'm hardly amazed anymore that young men are leaving the ministry in droves. Churches render impossible expectations, evangelicalism demands extra-biblical qualifications, and everyone is screaming for a sinlessly flawless performance.
Dustin Benge
As we do the work God has set before us—a specific job, task, responsibility, ministry, studies, or wherever He has placed us—we can expect to hear from God.

We are never nearer Christ than when we find ourselves lost in a holy amazement at His unspeakable love.

“Grace is not sought nor bought nor wrought. It is a free gift of Almighty God to needy mankind.”
Billy Graham
All that I was, my sin, my guilt, My death, was all my own; all that I am I owe to thee My gracious God, alone.
~Horatius Bonar~
In Jedd Medefind and Erik Lokkesmoe’s book, The Revolutionary Communicator, they argue that what keeps leaders from being great are specific fears that limit their authenticity. “We fear the deflation of our image and diminishment in the eyes of those who respect us. We fear rejection. We fear we will undermine the causes we believe in or the faith we want others to embrace. We fear our longings will be mocked and our dreams dismissed. We fear followers will no longer follow, students will no longer listen, and admirers will no longer admire” (73). Pursuing authenticity in our leadership can be a scary endeavor.
Men, we can only lead as we are being led by Christ. Anything else is a train wreck (I'm writing from experience). He is the ultimate groom and an exceedingly kind shepherd.
There are only two sides of the fence. You're either going to serve sin or serve Jesus.
Looking ahead, I urge you from the bottom of my heart to choose the Lord! Run away from evil, even if it means losing your shirt over it. Worldly possessions are temporary, but a relationship with the Lord is eternal.
There is an Arm that never tires when human strength gives way.

"Faith glorifies God" or "Faith gives God glory." It makes him look as good as he really is. So trusting God is really important.
-- John Piper
"He who does not honor his wife dishonors himself."
"Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best." ~

"The way a man wins shows most of his character. The way he loses shows all of it." ~

"The real tragedy is the tragedy of the man who never in his life braces himself for his one supreme effort, who never stretches to his full capacity, never stands up to his full stature.” ~ Arnold Bennett
Our feelings can be the best of friends or the worst of enemies. That's why the Word of God is the greatest stabilizer of our emotions.
Victor Marx
Worry literally strangles our peace and weakens our faith.
Worry is a control issue. Worry is wasted energy. Worry is consuming and unhealthy. Worry is a joy thief. Worry is the interest that we pay today on tomorrow’s problems. Worry is practicing atheism. Worry makes everything seem bigger than it really is.
When we choose to trust God, we are choosing against worry.
Think in every line you read in God's word that God is speaking to you.
~Thomas Watson~
When we believe in Jesus, we are given a clean slate, a fresh start. All evidence of sin and guilt is completely wiped out. When we believe in Jesus, we are forgiven. Have you ever done something you are ashamed of? I have. I have done things I wish I had not done and said things I wish I had not said. But when we are justified through faith in Christ, God forgives those things. He wipes them out.
