"Grace is not simply leniency when we have sinned. Grace is the enabling gift of God not to sin. Grace is power, not just pardon."John Piper

The Scriptures are quite clear. God's work in our lives depends upon His promises to us, not our promises to Him. However, this does not mean that we are forbidden to express our love and devotion to God through promises made to Him. Loving God is the essence of our relationship with the Lord. Our love for the Lord is in response to His great love for us.

We can live in the world, but not be of the world, because the world is not where His Kingdom is. If we live in His Kingdom, by the power of the Holy Spirit and the strength of His Word, then we can achieve what appears to be impossible.

Faithfully sharing the Gospel + no visible results, still = successful evangelism. How so? Because God is glorified by the faithful proclamation of his Son— and God being glorified is 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 a win. Pray for fruit, but do not imagine you’re unsuccessful w/out it.

The more godly any man is, the more merciful that man will be. —

Puritan Thomas Brooks, Works 3:271

To seek yourself in this world is to be lost, and to be humble is to be exalted. John Bunyan Afflictions make the heart more deep, more experimental, more knowing, and profound, and so, more able to hold, contain, and beat more. John Bunyan

You have chosen the roughest road, but it leads straight to the hilltops. John Bunyan I would say to my soul, O my soul, this is not the place of despair; this is not the time to despair in. As long as my eyes can find a promise in the Bible so long will I wait or look for mercy, so long will I fight against unbelief and despair. John Bunyan

Whatever contradicts the Word of God should be instantly resisted as diabolical. John Bunyan Great grace and small gifts are better than great gifts and no grace. John Bunyan The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and they that lack the beginning have neither middle nor end. John Bunyan What God says is best, is best, though all the men in the world are against it. John Bunyan
