QUOTES

I believe what prepares a person to be in tune with God’s voice is having that one-on-one personal time with Jesus.

We are too busy to pray, and so we are too busy to have power. We have a great deal of activity, but we accomplish little...~R.A. Torrey~

We don't need to be afraid, but we do need to be aware that this world faces great tribulation. But, Jesus will accomplish the great global reset! Let's trust Him wholly!

C.S. Lewis said, “We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

We cannot attain the presence of God. We’re already totally in the presence of God. What’s missing is awareness.

~David Brenner~

God gave you important work to do. Wherever He has you, however small or large the tasks are, keep at it. Don't listen to the "Oh no" distractions. Keep moving forward.

When people's first reaction is always: “Oh no. It’ll never work. Why try? Give up! You’re wasting your time. Be more realistic.” These phrases are the coin of the realm for people in a constant state of “Oh no.” Don’t be one of them.

As believers, we can’t just settle for a happy little life in the middle of an unseen but very real war. We, out of love, have to be armed to fight the evil one, the fallen world, and the flesh in the heart of every person to protect our hearts, the hearts of those we love, and the hearts of those entrusted to our care.

In these difficult days, the Word of God should be thought of as precious. It touches and changes our hearts. Do not neglect to come to church, listen to the message taught by the messenger––and go away changed.

The lawful use of God's law pertains to the unrighteous, the rebellious. The law is not designed to give people a righteous standing in God's sight (justification). "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ" (Galatians 2:16).

The law is good, but only if it is used properly. "We know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners" (1 Timothy 1:8-9). The lawful use of God's law pertains to the unrighteous, the rebellious.

We are not to judge. Only God AND HIS WORD judge. However, if we think it is unclean for us, then we shouldn't do it.

Paul tells us to not allow our freedom to destroy our brother for whom Christ died. If others are struggling, we are to pause and help -- not continue on in blindness to their difficulties.

The steadfastness of our prayer life is an indicator of our reliance on God. Conversely, the stronger we feel in ourselves, the further we drift toward self-reliance (and away from reliance on God). God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice because in His forbearance He had left sins committed beforehand unpunished—He did it to demonstrate His justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

~Billy Graham~

Addiction to sin is a universal curse from which we all suffer. However, there is deliverance in Christ if we turn to Him from sin—all of it, even that in which we secretly delight. The choice is ours. ~A.W.Tozer~

“…by grace, we are saved through faith; saved both from the guilt and from the power of sin.”

~John Wesley~

And this be our motto - "In God is our trust," And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. ~Francis Scott Key~

“Let not a repentant sinner imagine that he is remote from the estate of the righteous because of the sins and misdeeds he has done. This is not true, for he is beloved and precious to God as if he never sinned.” —Malmonides, Mishneh Torah, 1170 A.D.

Defeat is a state of mind. No one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality.” -Bruce Lee

Society often encourages you to choose a favorite: a restaurant, automobile, celebrity, or television show. But God does not play favorites. He did not send His Son to die just for the Jews, or the Pharisees, or even solely for His followers. God sent His Son to die for you, the homeless guy, the drug addict, the loud neighbor, the slow driver, the rude co-worker…everyone!

"Leaders dramatically influence the culture of their organizations through their own work habits. Being a leader does not mean one has 'made it' and is now exempt from hard work. Rather, leaders should set the pace for others. Few things discourage employees and volunteer any more than lazy leaders. Leaders should not ask their people to undertake tasks they are unwilling to perform themselves." Blackaby

Count Zinzendorf of the Moravians said, “I have one passion. It is He and He alone.”

"If you want to be a great leader of people you have to get away from people to be with God.”

“The authority by which the Christian leader leads is not power but love, not force but example, not coercion but reasoned persuasion. Leaders have power, but power is safe only in the hands of those who humble themselves to serve.” – John Stott

"The very first thing which needs to be said about Christian ministers of all kinds is that they are "under" people as their servants rather than "over" them (as their leaders, let alone their lords). Jesus made this absolutely plain. The chief characteristic of Christian leaders, he insisted, is humility not authority, and gentleness, not power." John Stott

“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence, you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence, you murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Women absolutely need love, and men absolutely need respect. It's as simple - and as complicated - as that." ~Dr. Emerson Eggerichs,

Love that does not yield is true-

*It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

Self-criticize to improve, but do not self-judge so harshly to the point of putting yourself into a depression or feeling hopeless. We all have made mistakes so allow yourself to be shaped more by what you do today and less by what you did yesterday

God is not going to use you if you cannot get it together. God wants to use your life, but if you do not want to repent and return to your first love, Jesus will go somewhere else and work. He will use somebody else. That is why it is so important for us to be in love with Jesus, All true believers are lifelong repenters. ~Jim Elliff~

*Opportunities to show kindness are everywhere; keep your heart open and you'll see them.

No Airbags working in the car and in a blink, you think you are in a Dukes of Hazard movie and you get to walk away with whiplash and scrapes, Yes there is a God!... Dread of death ends when you know heaven is your true home!

By identifying and embracing my unique personality traits, abilities, and gifts, I found freedom from the comparison trap. And you can too! Be yourself.....

"Ideas are wonderful, but the execution is critical"

"If you are ever going to think outside the box, you'd better learn to think inside the box you're already in!" ~ Al Argo

"Silence is golden when you can't think of a good answer." ~ Muhammad Ali

C.S. Lewis once said, "Everything that is not eternal is eternally out of date.

A half-truth is the same thing as a whole lie.

Man does not want to obey God. Man wants to misinterpret God’s Word to suit themselves. God helps us when we change God’s Word instead of obeying. Before the Word, everyone must give way. ~Martin Luther~

The Power of God, The Promises of God, The Presence of God = The Testimony of God

I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE OUTCOME TO PRAISE GOD, BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW BY FAITH HOW I'M COMING OUT! "HE ALWAYS CAUSES US TO TRIUMPH!" (2 CORINTHIANS 2:14) Always "PEOPLE WHO REALLY LOVE YOU, CALL YOU OUT ON YOUR MESS, THEY DON'T HELP YOU COVER IT UP!"

"I'LL TAKE A STINGING TRUTH OVER A SOOTHING LIE ANY DAY!"

WE NEED MORE LEADERS WHO'LL POP YOU UPSIDE THE HEAD WHEN YOU TALKING CRAZY, PAT YOU ON THE BACK WHEN YOU NEED ENCOURAGEMENT, AND GIVE YOU A SWIFT KICK IN THE BEHIND WHEN YOU'RE VEERING OFF COURSE. WE NEED FEWER LEADERS PREOCCUPIED WITH SCRATCHING ITCHING EARS!" "JUST BECAUSE IT SOUNDS GOOD, DOESN'T MEAN IT'S SOUND DOCTRINE."

"IF YOU DON'T CRUCIFY YOUR FLESH IN PRIVATE, YOUR FLESH WILL CRUCIFY YOU IN PUBLIC." FAR TOO MANY ARE PASSING IN THE ART OF PREACHING, YET FAILING IN BIBLICAL ACCURACY! "JUST AS YOU NEED TO EAT A WELL-BALANCED MEAL IN THE NATURAL, YOU ALSO NEED TO BE FED A WELL-BALANCED MEAL IN THE SPIRITUAL. YOU CAN SERVE A PORTION OF HOOP AND HOLLAR, BUT PLEASE DON'T LEAVE OFF THE PLATE A HEALTHY PORTION OF SOUND DOCTRINAL TEACHING." YOU CAN'T HEAL IN THE SAME ENVIRONMENT THAT MADE YOU SICK!

"WHEN GOD FIGHTS FOR YOU YOUR ENEMY IS ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED."

"Saying Bible words is not necessarily synonymous with communicating Bible truth." —

Alistair Begg

"The only way to tackle sin is to recognize that we need to kill it, without compromise, so as to prevent all future damage, seen or unseen. We will only be able to overcome sin when we are motivated to take strong measures against it." —Alistair Begg

If you work in ministry and need help believing God is with you in your circumstances, Proverbs 31 Ministries put together 5 free resources to help you cling to the truth no matter what you're facing. Get those here today:

“When thou art humbled and broken-hearted, then think of Christ, as He offers Himself; think of nothing but love, nothing but mercy... when thou art humbled and broken-hearted, He is readier to entertain thee than thou art to fly to Him.” - Sibbes. A Heavenly Conference, 60.

“When our understanding is enlightened to see the horrible state of nature… and then to have our eyes opened at the same time to see the glorious and gracious face of God in Jesus Christ, it is the greatest wisdom in the world.” — Richard Sibbes “Some of God's greatest mercies are His refusals.” — Elizabeth Elliot

"The gospel is all about Christ from beginning to end." – Charles Spurgeon "Christ did not die in vain, and the gospel has not been sent into the world for nothing." — Charles Spurgeon "We shall not adjust our Bible to the age; but, by God's grace, we shall adjust the age to the Bible." — Charles Spurgeon

"We do not give thanks to ourselves, but to God, for we were helpless and he heard our cry." — Charles Spurgeon

To be tempted is not to sin. The strongest attacks are made on the strongest forts.

Dwight L. Moody Lust is the devil's counterfeit for love. There is nothing more beautiful on earth than pure love and there is nothing so blighting as lust. Dwight L. Moody God had one Son without sin, but He never had a son without trial. Dwight L. Moody

We may not be able to do any great thing; but if each of us will do something, however small it may be, a good deal will be accomplished for God. Dwight L. Moody Sometimes when your child talks, your friends cannot understand what he says; but the mother understands very well. So if our prayer comes from the heart, God understands our language. Dwight L. Moody The voice of sin is loud, but the voice of forgiveness is louder. Dwight L. Moody David was the last one we would have chosen to fight the giant, but he was chosen by God. Dwight L. Moody

If you’re waiting on evidence to believe in God, your blind to His creation. Evidence is all around us! But that’s not all you need! You need to seek God with all your heart for it to make a difference! Only those who walk out of the darkness will be found in the light!

This is supernatural and foolishness to those who don’t believe! Even all the evidence in the world won’t change your mind without a changed heart! Just ask the demons, they have all the evidence you could ever need, but yet they hate God!
