Standing for the truth of God’s Word has cost me many friendships/relationships. It’s never easy but Christ is worth anything and everything.
Never attempt to come before God without Jesus, the divinely promised, given and accepted the burnt offering.

When we don’t care about people’s opinions of us, we will unashamedly remain true to the Word of God without ever compromising to win their approval.

It is forbidden for us to throw pearls before swine. We do not want to furnish wanton minds with subjects for their comedies, and therefore it is wise to speak of personal spiritual matters where they can be understood, and not where they will be burlesqued.

A pulpit is too weighty a thing to be disrespected by the sharing of opinions, cheap humor, or punditry of various kinds.

Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss so we’d know that someone’s public affection for Jesus might not be telling the whole story.

A sense of God's presence in love is sufficient to rebuke all anxiety and fears in the worst and most dreadful condition, and not only so, but to give in the midst of them solid consolation and Joy. ~

The Holy Spirit convicts us against all unrighteousness. There is no compromise in God's economy. I'm certainly not suggesting we judge other people, however, I am saying we all need to take a long hard look at our own lives and "grow up" by demonstrating maturity in Christ. Paul also tells us how: "Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 3:18: "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
It is so sad that many ministry approaches in the church world include motives and methodologies that are kept hidden because their true character is shameful. Some of these dishonorable approaches involve "walking in craftiness" (such as manipulating people through carnal enticements). Others involve "handling the word of God deceitfully" (such as preaching what people want to hear, instead of what the Scriptures actually say). If we are going to serve God by grace, we must reject such tactics.
Jesus came not only to save spirits from damnation. That would have been, at most, a partial victory. No, He came to save his whole creation from death. That means our bodies too, and the earth, not just humanity.
Randy Alcorn
God will either give us what we ask for in prayer or give us what we would have asked for if we knew everything he knows.
Timothy Keller

Mercy moved in the heart of God to the poor man, but from His heart, it found no way to vent itself for us, but through the heart-blood of Jesus Christ…
—John Flavel
