QUOTES

BE WILLING TO DISRUPT YOUR LIFE, EAT WITH A NON-BELIEVER ONCE IN A WHILE. Jesus did!

Celebrate your life in Christ... Being a believer is fun...

RECREATE WITHIN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE, AND DO ALL TO GLORIFY THE LORD...

The authority on anything is God's word!

LET IT GO!

Resentment always hurts you more than it does the person you resent. While your offender has probably forgotten the offense and gone on with life, you continue to stew in your pain, perpetuating the past.

Listen: those who hurt you in the past cannot continue to hurt you now unless you hold on to the pain through resentment. Your past is past! Nothing will change it. You are only hurting yourself with your bitterness.

For your own sake, learn from it, and then let it go.

God desires we treat one another fairly, seeking to live our lives holy unto Him, not seeking possessions and positions. Worldly possessions have ruined many people but redeemed none. ~John Blanchard~

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not die merely as a martyr, or as a splendid example of self-sacrifice and self-denial. Those who can see no more than that in His death, fall infinitely short of the truth. They lose sight of the very foundation-stone of Christianity and miss the whole comfort of the Gospel. Christ died as a sacrifice for man’s sin. He died to make reconciliation for man’s iniquity. ~ J.C. Ryle

If you are loving God more than anyone or anything else if you are taking up the cross and following Jesus, then you are going to make a difference. You will impact your culture. The first-century church turned their world upside down because they lived this way.

“Everything rises and falls on leadership. And leadership is influence – nothing more, nothing less.” John Maxwell

Those who learn to live by the grace of God are increasingly protected from discouragement.

Our outer man is also perishing. Yet, we see a bigger picture than that. "Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day." As our outer man is deteriorating, we are still encouraged, because our inner man can be in the process of renewal:

“God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer

"Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe."

— St. Augustine

Even as married people it is critically important to make the Lord's business our first priority.

"God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons that we could learn in no other way.” — C.S. Lewis

The treasure who lives within us (Jesus) is to get glory and honor as we trust Him to live in, and be manifested through, the vessels of our humanity.

We who live under the new covenant of grace are earthen vessels. We have no true spiritual life in ourselves.

For Paul, remaining single meant fewer distractions in his service to God. Unfortunately, many modern single Christians consider their single status to be a horrible distraction and insurmountable barrier in ministry. Shouldn't we regard an unmarried present status (whether temporary or permanent) as a special opportunity to please God?

“Lighthouses don’t fire guns or ring bells to call attention to their light, they just shine.” —Sherwood E. Wirt

Spend time with the Lord today; abide with Him in prayer. Pray scripture and let the words instruct how the day goes. God is listening!

God wants nothing more than to be close to us in our pain.

These are dark times. Are you in the dark? If so, you are not alone. If you are in the wilderness, God is right with you, right beside you. He will never, ever leave you. Turn upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face.
