QUOTES

God’s salvation is much more inclusive. We who are saved by God’s grace begin to experience God’s shalom—peace and wholeness, life as it was meant to be—now, even as we anticipate the fullness of shalom that is reserved for the future.

Bible commentator Warren Wiersbe says this: “Every form of life has its enemies. Insects have to watch out for hungry birds, and birds must keep an eye on hungry cats and dogs. Even human beings have to dodge automobiles and fight off germs. The life that is real also has an enemy…sin.”

The truth is hard, it requires vulnerability.

Righteous anger reflects the character and mind of the Lord. We pray, vote, and pray more but never do harm or violence to get a point across.

Don't let time become your enemy, giving place to the devil. Talk about it, pray, and let it go!

Let your anger destroy the problem not people!

“The believer in God must explain one thing, the existence of sufferings; the nonbeliever must explain the existence of everything else.” –Unknown

It is up to me to bring communion, fellowship, honor, and glory to the marriage! ME IS THE KEY

It's tragic to see people sell themselves short on what’s possible for their lives. Take the time to discover the possibilities; the lessons will be priceless.

As co-laborers in Christ, we all need to submit, one to another, with respect. We should be like David and recognize the hand of God upon His anointed. When we rebel against His anointed, we rebel against God.

Men must choose to be governed by God or they condemn

themselves to be ruled by tyrants.

~William Penn~

I still love to hold a book in my hands, mark it up and get it a little dog-eared. I like to hold a pen in my hand and write, that tactile experience helps my creative juices flow. And I'd rather talk to a person than book something online. That makes me a little "Old School"

*When it rains, it pours, but when it pours, He reigns.

The Fort Knox of Faith—

is Christ!

Fellowship with Christ.

Walking with Him.

Pondering Him.

Exploring Him.

The heart-stopping realization that in Him you are part of something ancient, endless, unstoppable, and unfathomable.

Only after we die to self, can we put the needs of others above our own needs. That is the example Christ gave to us. He denied Himself and went to the Cross for you and me. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

You never know how God is going to use you each day, so be prepared.

Do we know what today, tomorrow or the next day will bring? No, but if our mindset is one of trust, and our attitude is one of obedience to the Lord, then we can relax and go through the day expecting Him to work out some really cool things through us.

Too often, when we ask God to show us His will, we look for some miraculous sign to determine our next step. We pray so hard and search so diligently for an answer. But the reality is that many times God is telling us to just keep walking and He'll bring along the things, the people, and the circumstances that need to be in our lives.

Don't make life too complex. Keep your heart soft and your plans sensitive each day to whatever He brings along your way.

there is a vast difference between being content and being lazy and not trying. Too often we get complacent in our thinking and in life and think well if I lose my job it is what God wants for me, so why try? I think it is important to not move ahead of God but always do your best.

I was but a pen in God’s hands, and what praise is due to a pen? ~Richard Baxter~

What Hath Worldview to Do with Memorial Day?"

The universal human urge to honor the dead makes little sense if God does not exist. But honoring the dead is something completely consistent with the Christian worldview. A funeral or an occasion like Memorial Day (U.S.) can be an opportunity to (judiciously) help others to think about where their worldviews lead them.
