Let's stop pretending -- no matter how good we think we are, we are all sinners -- as Paul tells us our throats, tongues, lips, and mouths convict us. Even if no one heard it, what words have you spoken or thought need to be forgiven?

From eternity to eternity, the beauty of God is pervasive and practical. Ask him to open the eyes of your heart (Ephesians 1:18). Give your life to this quest –seeing and savoring more and more of the happifying beauty of God.

~John Piper~

The history of religion would say a man is out seeking God -- therefore religion, in general, must be man's search for God. The Bible says it isn't. Man hasn't found out very much about God on his own -- the reason: Because he's been going in the wrong direction -- away from God.

“Now I should like to know whether your soul, tired of its own righteousness, is learning to be revived by and to trust in the righteousness of Christ.”

God is as interested in your son or daughter's salvation as He is in the salvation of a drug dealer in Colombia, a prostitute in Paris, or a child with AIDS in Africa. God doesn't have boundaries and no one is a waste of time or effort for God.

"God is God and nothing but God is God." –– William Desmond

Now we are on a journey to bring that same gospel to others.” — Sinclair B. Ferguson, To Seek and to Save 147.

“[Justification] is the article on which the church stands or falls because it's the article on which I stand or fall and the article on which you stand or fall.” — R. C. Sproul, Luther and the Reformation, 99.

Will you exchange the comforts of this world for the glory of the next? The things of this world will pass away, but the love of the Lord will last forever. –– Stephen Charnock, Divine Providence, 71.
