QUOTES

A man can be outwardly conformed to the Christian way of life while he is inwardly conformed to the spirit of this world. ~Sinclair Ferguson~

People do not need reformation; they need a transformation in their lives.

God has not given us the Holy Spirit that we would be above people. God has given us power so we can come below people and help them mature. This is the true meaning of discipleship.

o know comes up a lot in the bible the word in Greek is ginōskō which means to know something or someone by relationship. Strong's G1097 = The KJV translates Strong's G1097 in the following manner: know (196x), perceive (9x), understand (8x), to know, understand, perceive, have knowledge of. Jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman. It is an intimate knowledge of something or someone.

One of My favorite Bible stories is found in 1 Kings 3:16-28 where King Solomon was going to cut the baby in half. When he was asked by God what he wanted he asked for wisdom so God gave him wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to lead his people but God gave him riches and wealth too.

“Let not a repentant sinner imagine that he is remote from the estate of the righteous because of the sins and misdeeds he has done. This is not true, for he is beloved and precious to God as if he never sinned.” —Malmonides, Mishneh Torah, 1170 A.D.

When God is all you have, you have everything you need.

God calls us to become peacemakers, not warmongers. To use an approach different from the world's -- to be forgiving, not vindictive; exemplify God's grace, rather than self-righteously judging the morals of others.

We need revival. Our country needs a spiritual awakening. Jesus wants people that will be full of compassion, seeing the needs of the people, but going to Him for the resource and not to their own understanding. So, what do you have? As a believer, you have the most important resource: Jesus Christ! You can have a tremendous impact on this world and your community--with or without one loaf of bread--as long as you have Jesus Christ and His compassion flowing through you.

Put on Christ

Scripture often describes our behavior as the clothes we wear. In 1 Peter 5:5, Peter urges us to be “clothed with humility.” David speaks of evil people who clothe themselves “with cursing.” Garments can symbolize character, and like His garment, Jesus’ character was seamless. The character of Jesus was a seamless fabric woven from heaven to earth—from God’s thoughts to Jesus’ actions. From God’s tears to Jesus’ compassion. From God’s word to Jesus’ response. All one piece. A picture of the character of Jesus.

But when Christ was nailed to the cross, He took off His robe of seamless perfection and assumed a different wardrobe. He wore our sin so we could wear His righteousness.

When a man makes an alliance with the Almighty, giants look like grasshoppers. ~

An 8-day journey that took 40 years all because the children of Israel wanted to do it their way............ Pro 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.

It’s impossible to embrace your future while you’re still clinging to your past. In the New Testament, the moment Christ died on the cross and was resurrected, He set the captives free. All those who were in Abraham’s Bosom were taken to heaven with Christ and hell became one massive place. After the resurrection, anyone who died went to heaven immediately; you did not go to hell anymore. When you and I die in Christ, we will go to heaven with Christ. He set us free from hell by going to the Cross and resurrecting three days later. Today, we are free!

The resurrection is the proof of our reconciliation. ~Geoffrey B. Wilson~

In every situation of life, the Lord Jesus is with us, dwelling within us, wanting to express His life through us.

I think we could all agree that the United States needs a spiritual awakening. We can't bring a revival about, but we can pray for one. And God tells us, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Though we can't bring about a revival, we can pray for one. So here is my challenge to you: Don't isolate. Infiltrate. As I have often said, Jesus did not say that the whole world should go to church; He said that the church should go to the whole world...

You will reap the reward if you don't quit, read Hebrews 11

For there to be a testimony there has to be a test. Unless you are a good knockoff.

God does not always change our position, His goal is to change our character by changing our hearts. If you do not change, your position won't...
