Leaders need to pay close attention to a variety of feelings among those they serve. Doing so will allow leaders to communicate effectively and guide compassionately. People will be inclined to follow leaders who understand them and honor their feelings.
Too often we consider our pastors to be "bigger than life," spiritual giants who need little from us, the typical church attendee. But is that true? Maybe you are just the person your pastor needs to reach out a hand in real friendship. The three problems most pastors have in developing deep friendships and relationships with people are trust, confidentiality, and the ability to be human (happy, sad, etc.) just like everyone else without being judged. Who is ministering to your pastor(s)? Could it be you?
The devil loves it when we say we believe and then prioritize everything in our lives ahead of God.

Leading in a crisis is not just about careful thinking and courageous decision. It’s also about honoring emotions, both our own and those of the people we lead.
when all of our solutions haven't worked out; when we're all out of ideas; when there are no more resources and the world as we know it stops making sense -- that is when we are most open to God. It may be to know Him for the first time or to become refreshed in our relationship with Christ.
When the eyes of the soul looking out, meet the eyes of God looking in, heaven has begun right here on this earth.

Today, as you lead, no matter the context, whether in your online staff meeting, virtual classroom, church, family, school board, hospital, or encampment, may you be conscious of leading “before the God of heaven.” Moreover, may you turn to God for help, whether for dedicated lengths of time or for quick moments. In all you do, may you sense God’s presence and guidance?
The battle waged with sin takes place predominately in your mind. Dark thoughts of doubt about God’s love and goodness attack your mind enticing you to deeper levels of distrust and a lust for power and control. Each reflection eagerly waits for expression through your words and actions.
Worry is an indication that we think God cannot look after us.
~Oswald Chambers~
The power to proclaim the greatest news in heaven or on earth was not given to angels. It was given to redeemed men … Every Christian is to be a witness; every follower of Christ is to preach the Gospel. ~Billy Graham~
Helen Keller, probably the best-known blind person who has ever lived, once said, “What would be worse than being born blind? To have sight without vision.” Recent polling among American college students reveals the majority have no vision for their lives, their families, or their communities. A 2016 George Barna survey reported that three-quarters of all churches in America have either peaked in attendance and influence or are on the decline.
The oldest and most important Christian commemorative service was initiated by Jesus when He instructed His disciples on the practice of the bread and the cup just hours before He was arrested. His closest friends didn’t know what was coming, but the Lord did…and He told them of the symbols by which to remember His impending death.
The name of the Thursday of Holy Week – Maundy – is derived from the Latin word mandatum meaning “mandate” or “command.” The instruction Jesus gave His disciples that evening was to love one another. He, of course, knew the greatest love, laying down one’s life for a friend, was His commission from the Father, one He was about to fulfill.
It would be hopeless, were it to stop there, but it doesn’t. The enormous power of God’s love raised Him, and by His resurrection, you have hope! The justified shall be resurrected to His glory. But those who have denied Christ will be raised to face Him in judgment.
“God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
The name of God is not I WAS or I WILL. His name is I AM, and He wants us to believe that everything He has done in the past, everything He has promised for the future, He can also do here, NOW!
The temptation of the age is to look good without being good.-Brennan Manning
The story of the Bible isn’t primarily about the desire of people to be with God; it’s the desire of God to be with people. -John Ortberg
The Jews took the 10 commandments to 613 laws JESUS took 10 commandments to 2
KEEP IT SIMPLE!!
“If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. If you look at God you'll be at rest.”
― Corrie ten Boom
“Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become 'unity' conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.”
― A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God
Education will gain you knowledge but to get to heaven you need to be transformed.
The new covenant of grace is a covenant of relationship. Spiritual death through Adam made this covenant of grace necessary. Spiritual life through Christ makes intimacy with God possible. Every human who has ever existed inherited a sinful, fallen, earthly life from Adam: "by man came death." Every person who has ever put their faith in Christ has received from Him a righteous, risen, heavenly life: "by Man [that is, Jesus] also came to the resurrection of the dead."
