Some people just don't discover what is best for them until they try to run away and find that God is a God of pursuing love.
Jesus is our example. We need to come to the throne of God to ask Him to help us forgive our enemies. What of our pride, our inconsistencies, and our sins? We still ask God in prayer to forgive our sins, so how can we still not forgive others? Forgive and you shall be forgiven.
Forgive, forget. Bear with the faults of others as you would have them bear with yours. Be patient and understanding. Life is too short to be vengeful or malicious.

Most of us are familiar with the word perseverance. Maybe it makes you think of someone who keeps going even when the path gets rough or someone who stays on their diet all the way through the holidays. Both examples do show perseverance, but the Greek gives us a little more insight. In the original language of James 1:3, the word translated perseverance means “cheerful, or hopeful endurance; constancy.”
It is one thing to keep going no matter what; it is something far more beautiful to do so cheerfully and hopefully.
God is at work and He will not turn His back on you!
God doesn’t want new methods; He wants new men.

We can count on Jesus to love us faithfully and sacrificially. We can rest in His constant companionship, never leaving us for any reason throughout our pilgrimage here on earth.
When we copy Scripture and carry it with us throughout the day, reading it and memorizing it, we make God’s Word a part of us. As Paul said, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly” (Colossians 3:16).

Conflict is inevitable when we set the truth of God’s Word against the evil of this world.

Our heavenly Father wants to build a close relationship with us, His children. He wants us to know His love. "The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us"
The ultimate blessing of the new covenant of grace is that it allows people to develop an intimate relationship with the true and living God. We began our personal history greatly separated from God.
Will Smith said makes you do crazy things. I think of Jesus dying on the cross for you and me and we can all agree that is pretty crazy too but it was love that covered a multitude of sins.
Not all who serve, serve with others in mind. They serve the pastor, maybe it's for notoriety, or pride to say you did that. All that takes the glory from the Lord. Second by L.E. Romaine"
What should be our focus these days?
We see in Titus 2 the grace of God which has appeared, “teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,” (verse 12). We have a natural inability to be what we know we should be, what we hope to be—and so His grace is teaching us to say no to ungodliness!
When God commissioned Joshua, He told him three times to be strong and courageous. As a result, Joshua found the power to be bold in his relationship with God.
Pray that we will not give in—no matter what.
“The life of faith is not a life of mounting up with wings, but a life of walking and not fainting…Faith never knows it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.”—
Oswald Chambers
“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth.” ~John Wesley~
Take heart that through the finished work of Christ, whatever your work may be, it exists as an opportunity to serve God, serve your neighbor, and serve the work itself.
The first issue of People Magazine came out 49 years ago. The weekly publication promised to let readers in on the real lives of celebrities, sports heroes, and political figures. But apart from discussing the portrayal of Jesus by actor Jim Caviezel in “The Passion,” People Magazine has never done a feature on the most important person ever to walk the face of the Earth.
Today, there are many people who say they know Jesus. They may know some facts, perhaps attend church and have memorized Bible verses. But has the knowledge in their heads penetrated their hearts? Jesus explained the problem, “This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me” (Matthew 5:8). In Matthew 7, Jesus says “I never knew you.”
On this day, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon the Leper. As He dined with his disciples, a woman named Mary anointed His feet with costly oil. That perfume permeated His hair and beard all the way to the cross. She really knew Him.
Examine your relationship with the Savior today. Don’t simply know about Jesus. Let His love permeate your heart.
Faith is not intellectual understanding; faith is a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when I can't see the way ahead.
Before you ever can put on Christ you have to be willing to put off the works of the flesh. Light and darkness don't mix.
Submission to man is always limited by God and His word. We can accept or reject man but never the Lord. God’s sovereign plan will come to pass regardless of our actions.
trying to follow every nuance of the Law is ultimately an impossibility for sinful humanity. What's God's solution? Jesus Christ is our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Jesus died for our sins, He paid the price for every mistake we've ever made. Therefore, it is only by Him, in Him and through Him that we can be made perfect by His perfect sacrifice!
