"NEVER AGAIN WILL I JUSTIFY THE STAB WOUNDS JUST BECAUSE I LOVED THE PERSON HOLDING THE KNIFE!" "THIS YEAR, STEP SO FAR OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE THAT YOU FORGET HOW TO GET BACK IN IT!"

“Equality is not the same thing as equity, and this kind of distributive policy violates the very role God gave the government, namely, to protect people’s private property.”

— R.C. Sproul, What Is the Relationship between Church and State, 44. “Are we preparing ourselves to dwell eternally with our great God? We don’t prepare ourselves in order to earn our way into heaven. Pastor, if Jesus doesn’t shine brilliantly through tomorrow’s sermon, throw it away and start over.

Unrealistic expectations often lead to our greatest frustrations. That's why the best place for us to look is always Jesus. He is the answer to our every need. He is our one true source of satisfaction.

The more we pay attention to seemingly small, moment-by-moment instructions from God, the more our thinking will start to line up with His. Our minds will get in a new rhythm of seeing what He wants us to see so that we can do what He wants us to do.

"Justification is contrasted with condemnation [Prov 17:15]. Since condemnation does not mean to make wicked, neither can justification mean to make righteous. Both rather refer to an official decree or declaration." - James Mongomery Boice

My heart I give you, Lord, eagerly and entirely. John Calvin

In God’s giving Christ to be our Redeemer, He gave the highest gift that it was possible for divine goodness to bestow. As there is not a greater God than himself to be conceived, so there is not a greater gift for this great God to present to his creatures. -Stephen Charnock
