Church membership does not make a Christian any more than owning a piano makes a musician. ~Douglas Meador~

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”
― Dante Alighieri, Inferno
A sister at church told me her son was healed of stage 4 cancer. He had an evasive surgery and is now cancer free. As I look at the healing of Jesus, no two are the same. So let us be open to what God has for us and not assume our Lord has one way to bring things about in our life.
When Jesus was dying, He hung helpless upon the tree. He entrusted Himself into the hands of His Father. "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit" (Luke 23:46). The Father would have to prove faithful if Jesus were to come forth from the grave. "Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father" (Romans 6:4). At times, we are in circumstances that are personally crucifying. We are in situations where everything so obviously requires a mighty work of God. If He does not prove faithful on our behalf, there will be no way out of the agonizing dilemma. When our Lord is so clearly our only hope (and then He comes through faithfully), we again grow in a deeper knowledge of Him and His ways. -Bob Hoekstra
"Stimulate the heart to love, and all other virtues will rise of their own accord." — W. T. Ussery
What does it mean to be lukewarm? It is a person pretending to be a Christian who is not. To be lukewarm is to be a genuine imitation, a fake. One day we all will stand before God himself. And even if someone has done a brilliant job of fooling others in the church, they, too, will have to face the music. So don't play games with God. Don't be a fake Christian.

We don’t have to be fearful about what this new week holds. God is already standing in every one of our tomorrows. Standing there with His love. Waiting on us with His wisdom. Going before us with His hope and His provision.
Here are three ways to spend your time with God today: 1. Give your first thoughts to God in the first 5 minutes of your day. 2. Read something from someone you admire and trust. 3. Remember God’s faithfulness by reading past journals or recalling answered prayers.
Unrealistic expectations often lead to our greatest frustrations. That's why the best place for us to look is always Jesus. He is the answer to our every need. He is our one true source of satisfaction.
Shame lies. It says God's grace walks up to us, shakes its head, and turns away. But we know Grace never turns and runs. Grace embraces. So turn your heart to the safety of Jesus’ forgiveness, friend. He loves you. He forgives you. He can heal your hurt.
