My encouragement to you is to stop looking at others who live the good life, wishing that you were as well, and instead begin to commit to your improvement, develop a plan, and act on it. Someone is going to. Let it be you!
Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever.
Thomas Jefferson
One person doing it is better than a thousand talking about it.
Guy Fieri
“Treat your body like a temple, not a woodshed. The mind and body work together. Your body needs to be a good support system for the mind and spirit. If you take good care of it, your body can take you wherever you want to go, with the power and strength and energy and vitality you will need to get there.” — Jim Rohn
“Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.” — Denis Waitley
“The health of your body influences what you experience in your mind. There is no split. If you can engage your whole spirit in the pursuit of total fitness - not just your intellect, not just your emotions - but instead everything inside you that is truly you, you'll discover what it is to be a whole person.” — David Patchell-Evans
“It is not work that kills men; it is worry. Work is healthy; you can hardly put more upon a man than he can bear. Worry is rust upon the blade. It is not the revolution that destroys the machinery, but the friction. Fear secrets acids; but love and trust are sweet juices.” — Henry Ward Beecher
“Laughter is the most healthful exertion.” -- Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland
The only person to blame for the life you have today is the person you see in the mirror every morning. We all know about the “Blame Game.” Most of us have played it at one time or another. There are some people who could win a gold medal in the Olympics if the “Blame Game” was an event.
We achieve our successes as part of a team. We are all part of teams. Our family is a team. Our place of work is a team. The community groups we belong to are teams. Sometimes we are the team leader or "coach," while other times we fulfill the role of follower, or "player."
some people have been conditioned to fear change, but we must not lose sight of the fact that change is normal, and most of us will experience unpredictable changes in both our personal and professional lives. In the workplace, changes can occur as a result of new thinking, advances in technology, innovation and progress, knowledge and communication, as well as mergers, takeovers, layoffs, and downsizing. These organizational changes can directly affect our professional lives as well as our personal lives. They may also lead to feelings of sadness, frustration, grief, and anger, especially when jobs are lost or worse when an entire organization ceases to exist.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.
Abraham Lincoln~
"Be faithful when the amounts are small. If you wish to preside over riches, you must start when the amounts are small."
"Life is worthwhile if you try. Try to make a difference, try to make some progress, try to learn a new skill, try to learn a new sport. It's worthwhile if you try. Doesn’t mean you can do everything, but there's a lot of things you could do if you just try."
when given the choice of "easy to" and "easy not to" you do not neglect to do the simple, basic, "easy"; but potentially life-changing activities and disciplines.
"To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly." —Henri Bergson
"For many people, change is more threatening than challenging. They see it as the destroyer of what is familiar and comfortable rather than the creator of what is new and exciting." — Nido Qubein
"The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude." — William James
"You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight." — Jim Rohn
"In times of turbulence and rapid change, you must constantly be re-evaluating yourself relative to the new realities." — Brian Tracy
