QUOTES

Robert Boyd Munger wrote a little book entitled "My Heart--Christ's Home." Just think of that! What a privilege, that when we invite Jesus Christ personally into our hearts and lives, He makes His residence there! And what an awesome thought, that He makes our "sweet spot" large enough to love as He loves, to forgive as He forgives, and to live as He wants us to live!

“Your ability to persuade and influence others determines the quality of your life and your self-confidence.”

— Brian Tracy

“For effective communication, use brevity. Jesus said, 'Follow me.' Now that's brief! He could be brief because of all that he was that he didn't have to say.”

— Jim Rohn

“The goal of effective communication should be for listeners to say, ‘Me, too!’ versus ‘So what?’”

— Jim Rohn

“The 8 key words that will move practically anyone to your side of the issue: ‘If you can't do it, I'll definitely understand.”

— Bob Burg

“Poor or fuzzy communications are major time-wasters. Take the time to be crystal-clear in your communications with others.”

— Brian Tracy

“The people that can’t communicate can’t change, and if you can’t change you die in your folly.

If You Think You Can, You Can by Denis Waitley

You can be a total winner, even if you're a beginner

If you think you can you can, if you think you can you can

You can wear the gold medallion, you can ride your own black stallion

If you think you can you can, if you think you can you can

It's not your talent or the gifted birth

It's not your bank book that determines worth

It isn't in your gender or the color of your skin

It's your attitude that lets you win

You can live with "could" or "shoulds," or be like Tiger Woods

If you think you can you can, if you think you can you can

Even if you're hesitant, you can be a woman President

If you think you can you can, if you think you can you can

It doesn't matter what you've done before

It makes no difference what the halftime score

It's never over 'til the final gun

So keep on trying and you'll find you've won

Just grab your dream and then believe it

Go out and work, and you'll achieve it

If you think you can, you can

If you think you can, you can

A failure may be something you have done—and it may even be something you’ll have to do again on the way to success—but a failure is definitely not something you are.

After an extremely poor performance, a team or an individual athlete often does much better the next time out, especially when the poor performance was so bad that there was simply no way to shirk responsibility for it.

Disappointment, defeat, and even apparent failure are in no way permanent conditions unless we choose to make them so. On the contrary, these undeniably painful experiences can be the solid foundation on which to build future success.

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” — Peter Marshall

*If you don’t set the tone for your day, the world will set it for you.

*Isaiah 43:1 Fear not, I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine.

Fascination is one step beyond interest. Interested people want to know if it works. Fascinated people want to learn how it works. Learn how to turn frustration into fascination. You will learn more by being fascinated by life than you will by being frustrated by it.

Develop a childlike fascination with life and people.

Jesus said we must become like them to inherit the kingdom of God.

If you want to be a leader who attracts quality people, the key is to become a person of quality yourself.

Learn to be strong but not impolite. It is an extra step you must take to become a powerful, capable leader with a wide range of reach.

Some people mistake rudeness for strength. It's not even a good substitute.

Be Kind! We must be kind enough to tell someone the truth. We must be kind enough and considerate enough to lay it on the line. We must be kind enough to tell it like it is and not deal in delusion.

Learn to be bold but not a bully. It takes boldness to win the day. To build your influence, you've got to walk in front of your group. You've got to be willing to take the first arrow, tackle the first problem, and discover the first sign of trouble. Like the farmer, if you want any rewards at harvest time, you have got to be bold and face the weeds and the rain and the bugs straight on. You've got to seize the moment. 2Co 3:12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—

Be humble but not timid. Some people mistake timidity for humility. But humility is a virtue; timidity is a disease. It's an affliction. It can be cured, but it is a problem. Humility is a God-like word. A sense of awe. A sense of wonder. An awareness of the human soul and spirit.
