Surround yourself with a few solid people who love Jesus, love you, and love others and you’ve done really well.

The best moment of a Christian’s life is his last one because it is the one that is the to nearest heaven.
~C. H. Spurgeon~
We can lay down our lives like the Lamb. And we can walk in the victory and power of the Lion.

Servant Leadership Evangelist Dr. Madana Kumar recently explained the reasons people worry. He stated that the ignorant worry because they do not know enough and the knowledgeable worry because they know too much. The rich worry because they are afraid of losing what they have and the poor worry because they do not have enough. The old worry because they are facing death while the young worry because they are facing life. Parents worry about the children they have and childless couples worry about the children they do not have. And the list goes on. You could probably add a few of your own.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. – Philippians 4:6
Killing sin isn’t about a mere behavioral modification but about placing our affections in a superior satisfaction — Jesus Christ.

The one thing that most concerns me about the visible church today, is that it consistently demonstrates it doesn’t actually believe that the gospel of Christ is inherently powerful and, therefore, completely sufficient to change people’s hearts and minds (1 Thessalonians 1:5a).

We don’t have to work up some frenzied worship performance to appease God; we just need to come in faith and truth offering our innermost selves, for God is already pursuing and singing over his people (Zeph. 3:17).

If their foundation isn’t rooted in Christ, dating them won’t change that.

suffering always comes uninvited. And yet finding God’s grace in suffering is one of the most soul-satisfying, joy-producing, God-glorifying experiences in life.

Biblical scholar Alfred Edersheim said: "For, ‘looking at him in his sincerity and earnestness, ‘He loved him’—as He loves those that are His Own... And, although we hear no more of him, who that day went back to his rich home very poor, because 'very sorrowful,' we cannot but believe that he, whom Jesus loved, yet found in the poverty of earth the treasure of heaven."
If you want your neighbor to know what Christ will do for him, let your neighbor see what Christ has done for you.
~Henry Ward Beecher~
To serve God is the deliberate love-gift of a nature that has heard the call of God.
~Oswald Chambers~
The passion for Christianity comes from deliberately signing away my own rights and becoming a bondservant of Jesus Christ...
~Oswald Sanders~
Prayer without thanks-giving is like a bird without wings.

Everything has become new—including the wineskins of your heart, ready to be filled with a fresh, healing anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Open up the pages of history and you will see atrocity after atrocity, committed around the world, by Christians supposedly who acted in the name of Jesus: the Salem Witch Trials, the Crusades, Northern Ireland, the Middle East, the islands of Tahiti, to name just a few. Attend a college history class and tell everyone you are a Christian. You can almost be certain to be attacked based upon the historical record of crimes against humanity, committed by people calling themselves Christians. Many name the name, but they are not of the true lineage of Christ. They are not born again, and they're certainly not governed by Him. John 16:3: "They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me."
Paul says be careful. Not all who are descended from the bloodline of Abraham and Isaac have the same spiritual lineage and truly are governed by God. It is the same question we should ask of anyone who calls themselves a Christian: Who are you governed by?
Jesus said in John 13:35, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." So how do we know if an act by a person who calls themselves a Christian is based upon a spiritual lineage with Jesus Christ? Easy, it will be based in love and nothing else.
