QUOTES

in talking about the death and resurrection of what Jesus means to us. We really need to recommit ourselves to pure and holy lives without the stain of repetitive, blatant, and unrepentant sin.

We gain great insight into the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives by considering the work of the Spirit in the life of Jesus. From the very beginning of Jesus' history upon the earth as Emmanuel, God with us, the Holy Spirit was involved. When Joseph was troubled over Mary's pregnancy, an angel comforted him by announcing: "That which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit." Jesus' conception was not of man but of the Spirit.

“We are all strings in the concert of His joy.” —Jacob Boehme

Jesus is with you! You never ever have to suffer alone. He is Emmanuel — God with us. Invite Him into your day to walk with you and share the journey.

The church should equip us, challenge us, and build us up. Something wonderful happens when God’s people come together for worship and Bible study. Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20 NKJV). Not only is God’s presence manifested in a unique way at church, but we often find a resolution for our problems while there. Or at least we gain a better perspective on how to deal with them.

When we think about the greatness of God, when we remember the truths of God, it puts our problems in perspective.

“The object of our faith is what is powerful” —Josiah Grauman

“To love to preach is one thing, to love those to whom we preach quite another.”

—D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

A daily practice that really helped my healing was receiving God’s truth in the morning and releasing any burdens to God in the evening.

Searching for God is so much more faith-building than searching for answers. Let Him comfort you with His presence today. And trust the answers to come in His right way and His right time.

No matter what you faced today or what is waiting for you tomorrow, stay with Jesus. Filter everything through His love. And declare His name and His hope over whatever you feel you can't bear one more day.

Sometimes we wish the Christian life was a constant state of euphoria in which we’re always experiencing God in some wonderful way. But we need to realize that when we go to church, we won’t always have a strong sensation of God’s presence.

When we think about the greatness of God, when we remember the truths of God, it puts our problems in perspective.
