Joy.
Accepted in Christ, we now run the race 'for the joy that is set before us' rather than 'for fear that comes behind us.
T. Keller
A man saw a snake being burned to death and decided to take it out of the fire. When he did, the snake bit him causing excruciating pain. The man dropped the snake, and the reptile fell right back into the fire. The man looked around and found a metal pole and used it to take the snake out of the fire, saving its life. Someone who was watching approached the man and said: “That snake bit you. Why are you still trying to save it?” The man replied: “The nature of the snake is to bite, but that's not going to change my nature, which is to help.” Do not change your nature simply because someone harms you. Do not lose your good heart, but learn to take precautions!!!

Prayer brings inner strength to God’s warriors and sends them forth to spiritual battle with their muscles firm and their armor in place.
~C.H. Spurgeon~
“Mercy and forgiveness must be free and unmerited to the wrongdoer. If the wrongdoer has to do something to merit it, then it isn’t mercy, but forgiveness always comes at a cost to the one granting the forgiveness.”—
Tim Keller
Forgiveness is not minimizing, not always reconciliation, not fair, and neither is it impossible. But it is the key to a blessed life.

The world is winding down like a giant clock. We see it in our bodies as well as in nature. The "day of God" approaches, are you prepared for what awaits? Do you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?

When there is little awareness of real need, there is little real prayer.

“Forgiveness is the giving, and so the receiving of life.”—
George MacDonald
Christ ceaseth not to work by His intercession with God for us, and by His Spirit in us for God, whereby He upholds His saints, their graces, their comforts in life, without which they would run to ruin.
~William Gurnall~
When we can’t see the plan, we can be confident that God still has a plan and is in control.

“We are not all like Job, but we all have Job’s God. Though we have neither risen to Job’s wealth, nor will, probably, ever sink to Job’s poverty, yet there is the same God above us if we are high, and the same God with His everlasting arms beneath us if we are brought low, and what the Lord did for Job he will do for us, not precisely in the same form, but in the same spirit, and with like design.”
Spurgeon,
If God doesn’t remove it…you can expect Him to use it.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

The same righteousness that the law demanded, the gospel of grace provided. "But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God which is through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all who believe" (Romans 3:21-22).

This gracious provision of salvation through the substitutionary death of Christ reminds us that faith, not law, is our abundant hope.
