QUOTES

There are people today who say they are trying to find themselves. Some will abandon their spouses and children because they want to go find themselves. Jesus also said, “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39 NKJV). Jesus was saying that if you want to find yourself, then lose yourself. If you want to find the purpose of life, meaning, and even personal happiness, then lose yourself.

Our Christian faith is based on what God did and continues to do for us—His completed work on the cross, where He gave the ultimate in loving sacrifice. Watch out for anyone who tells you otherwise!

“Watch out for those dogs, those wicked men, and their evil deeds, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved. For we who worship God in the Spirit are the only ones who are truly circumcised. We put no confidence in human effort. Instead, we boast about what Christ Jesus has done for us.”— Philippians 3:2-3 (NLT)

Is the apostle Paul really warning us about dogs? He is, but not your cute, furry pet. He is warning us about dangerous doctrines that promote a legalistic faith.

Sometimes, you cry out to the Lord and He dries your tears instantly! As if to say, there’s no need in crying over that any longer.

We are more sure to arise out of our graves than out of our beds.

-Thomas Watson

John Wesley.

"Jesus is not a mere memory. He is a living and present friend."

The world’s idea of greatness is to rule, but Christian greatness consists in serving. -

"We may forget what we only learn with the head, but we shall not forget what we learn with the heart." - Charles Spurgeon

"The Bible was written in tears and to tears, it will yield its best treasures. God has nothing to say to the frivolous man." -A. W. Tozer

Lay down, then, *thy reasonings*; take up the love of the Father upon a *pure act of believing*, and that will open thy soul to let it out unto the Lord in the communion of love.

- John Owen

The fact God hasn’t wiped America off the face of the earth for its celebration of sodomy and love for the murder of the unborn is evidence of God being slow to anger and long-suffering.

We would never find still waters or green pastures on our own! We need the Good Shepherd to lead us

No salvation without regeneration - no spiritual life without a new birth - no Heaven without a new heart. J. C. Ryle
