There are eternal consequences resulting from all our thoughts, words, and actions, of which we take far too little account. J. C. Ryle

Christianity is not a spectator sport. Commit to a church.

"Does any power in the universe match God’s power to breathe out worlds or dismiss death simply with words? “Let there be light!” and “Lazarus, come forth!”? No there is nothing like it. Yet this same power is available to the preacher through God’s Word." -

Jonathan Leeman

What has God revealed to you recently? Nothing or something of great value? The difference has to do with how much time you have been involved, studied, contemplated, and prayed about Scripture

The afflictions didn’t feel good, but they worked for my good. It was good that I was afflicted!! Had I not, I wouldn’t know Him as I do.

Unconverted men walk over the pit of hell on a rotten covering. -

Jonathan Edwards

The well-known words from the Lord's Supper in Luke 22:20 remind us that the glorious riches of grace found in the new covenant are all provided by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, as He died on the cross for us. "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you." Customarily, we think of forgiveness of sins when we hear these words. Forgiveness is certainly included in the blessings secured by the death of our Lord. Notice, however, that Jesus did not say "this cup is forgiveness in My blood." He said, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood."

Are you feeling a little off course? Jesus left us the greatest map of all it's called the Bible!

Living as servants of the new covenant is not some exclusive, elitist religious concept, available only to an initiated few. Rather, it is just one way to describe the life that is to be experienced by all who have placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. For many believers, these terms involve unfamiliar language.

Boundaries are your personal property line, where you set out where you end, and where the other person begins.

Do you struggle with the inability to say no, confront, and establish consequences in relationships when you need to? How does that affect your life? We all desire to have fruitful and fulfilled lives and God’s Word says guarding our hearts is the primary way to achieve those goals!

There is more to living the Christian life than receiving forgiveness for our sins and the assurance of Heaven. Are you growing up spiritually?

The lyrics to that old song are haunting. They speak of broken dreams, disillusion, and confusion. A broken heart is a wound to the soul. Loss, betrayal, misunderstandings, and fear of the unknown can affect you so deeply that you feel a pain in your chest and wonder how you will bear it. Sometimes we grieve for another’s sorrow or pain and make it our own.

Sometimes, it might seem more “satisfying” to punish our children when they do wrong, but our goal is to walk alongside them in love and teach them lessons that help them grow and develop into the people God created them to be.

In what seems to be a paradoxical statement, there is very clear logic: by loving God more than anyone else, we develop a new love for others that we have never known.

“He who obeys the command 'rejoice in the Lord,' has a hallelujah in his soul every minute of the day and night.” —A. C. Dixon (1854-1925)

Study sanctification to the utmost, but make not a Christ of it." -

Robert Murray M'Cheyne.

We can never go to Jesus too often.

I Rather suffer than die in my sin.

"Without the Holy Spirit, we may as well burn our Bibles."

-John Owen.

"Visit many good books, but live in the Bible." —

Charles Spurgeon
