The grace of God here is connected with the phrase "much more." What a grand description of His grace-the "much more" grace of God! God's grace is "much more" than forgiveness. It is "much more" than the new birth. It is "much more" than we have yet understood. It is "much more" than we have ever yet experienced. Here, we see it is "much more" than sufficient to deal with the devastating effects of sin in the lives of the children of Adam.
To be spiritually dead is to be diabolically alive.

When you encounter a person asking for money, I believe before you give them anything, first minister to their spiritual needs. Give them the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your tokens of love. Addictions bind many to alcohol or drugs; it is wise to buy food for them rather than give them money because they will spend it on their sinful habits.
Madonna once said when I was growing up, “Jesus Christ was like a movie star, my favorite idol of all.”
Napoleon Bonaparte said: “I know men, and I tell you Jesus Christ was not a man. Simple minds see a resemblance between Christ and the founders of empires and the gods of other religions. That resemblance does not exist. There is between Christianity and other religions the distance of infinity.”
Novelist H. G. Wells: “I am a historian, I am not a believer. But, this penniless preacher from Galilee is irresistibly the center of history.”
S. Lewis reasoned that “a man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be [insane]… or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice… But, let us not come up with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
Jesus is THE pivotal person in all of history. People may try to squeeze Him into the box of “a good man” or “a prophet”, but it doesn’t work. He’s either God Himself, the Creator of all things, or He’s not worth following! Do you believe that He is God and He is good? And that He can change everything?
"Preaching Christ I find to be the best means of winning sinners and building up saints."
-George Whitefield.
"Let nothing be said about anyone unless it passes through the three sieves: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?" -Amy Carmichael.
Our cleverness, personality, vocabulary, intellect, creativity, or methodologies never saved anyone. God alone saves. God alone receives all the glory.
"Long ago I ceased to count heads. Truth is usually in the minority in this evil world." —
Charles Spurgeon
My goal is God Himself; not joy, not peace, not even blessing, but "with thee my God"!
Leonard Ravenhill
"Preaching Christ I find to be the best means of winning sinners and building up saints." -
George Whitefield.
When God is out of sight, he is not out of covenant. -
Thomas Watson
"Satan is sure to try to hinder us when we are earnest in prayer." —
Charles Spurgeon
The Scriptures are a stranger to any other conversion but that which is of the whole man, wherein they are sanctified throughout in soul, body, and spirit.
Jonathan Edwards
Preaching is not a profession, God help us. Preaching is an obsession and a passion!
Leonard Ravenhill
The Bible doesn’t contain the Word of God—it IS the Word of God.
"Be consumed with love for Christ and let the flame burn continuously." —
Charles Spurgeon
Where there is grace there will be conflict. The believer is a soldier. There is no holiness without a warfare. Saved souls will always be found to have fought a fight. ~
