The children of Israel are now poised on the edge of the land that God had promised to give them. By faith, they had kept the Passover and were spared the judgment of the firstborn that befell the unbelieving Egyptians. By faith, they had been delivered from bondage in Egypt. By faith, they had passed through the Red Sea. Now, they would begin to possess the promised blessings of God, seeing Jericho's walls fall down, by faith.
God delivered the fortress of Jericho into the hands of His people, as the walls fell down, by faith. "This evil city of abominations was then destroyed, as the holy Lord God had justly required. Yet, the family of Rahab, the harlot, was rescued, by faith.
Every true teaching, practice, or doctrine is revealed in the life of Jesus, demonstrated in the Book of Acts, and taught by the Apostles. If anyone teaches anything different, reject it.

True worship is found among Christ’s Church––believers. I will say this: anyone who comes into this church building and sits among believers seeking God will find Him. He has promised in His Word to make Himself known to those who seek Him (Jeremiah 29:13). I believe a person cannot be truly happy unless they surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. They need to know the Person they are worshiping.

Biblical scholar Alfred Edersheim said: "For, ‘looking at him in his sincerity and earnestness, ‘He loved him’—as He loves those that are His Own...
