Everyone in this fallen world needs strength just to deal with life's daily responsibilities and challenges. When you add the calling and desire of believers to please and honor God, much strength is needed daily. David confessed to the Lord as his strength for living. "The LORD is the strength of my life." How wonderful to know that the Lord is with us to impart His power in us for every aspect of our lives, whether at home, work, ministry, or whatever.
People try to live apart from their Creator. But inevitably, circumstances arise, things happen, and life brings us to a screaming awareness of our incompleteness and inability to live abundantly without God.

Judas Iscariot was not a greatly wicked person, just a common money-lover, and like most money-lovers, he did not understand Christ.

God is not out to ruin our lives. The happiness that God gives doesn’t stop when the party’s over. It’s an entirely different approach to life. In fact, the Bible tells us the meaning of life: to know the God who created us. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end”
"Man is not only bad but bad enough to rival even the devil in wickedness."

Charles Spurgeon

John Owen, Works 3:576
"Our sins are gone. He cast them into his own tomb, and they are buried there, never to have a resurrection." — Charles Spurgeon
“Nothing else can bring forth such charming music from any man's mind as a sense of redeeming grace and dying love.” - Charles Spurgeon
“No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good.” -

“Not all the harps of heaven can be more melodious than your song will be when your heart fully understands this fact—that Jesus Christ did actually stand in his people's stead, and finished transgression, and brought in everlasting righteousness for them.” -
Charles Spurgeon
There is no sympathy like that of Christ. In all our afflictions He is afflicted. He knows our sorrows. In all our pain He is pained, and like the good Physician, He will not measure out to us one drop of sorrow too much.
JC Ryle
The Early Church had no governmental protection, they wanted them dead. No guarantee of privacy, no freedom of speech, no assurance of due process or fair hearings. They had no money. No political power. No impressive education. Not even a complete Bible.
