OSWALD CHAMBERS

Beware of bartering the Word of God for a more suitable conception of your own.

God will use you. God will bless others through your life.

God is going to use you. He will use your life to bless others, to help others, to be generous to others. He will use you to be His hands and feet. God is preparing you right now even if it doesn’t seem like it! Hang on and step forward in faith!

“It is impossible for a man who is warm to understand one who is cold.” —Alexander Solzhenitzyn

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest. Missler, Chuck, “The Gospel in Genesis,

When life overwhelmed her. She learned to breathe. She learned to pray. And she released what she could not resolve to God.

Stop and breathe. Give everything that is broken and is breaking you over to God. He is the Healer. He is love. He will never leave you!

OSWALD CHAMBERS

To those who have had no agony Jesus says, “I have nothing for you; stand on your own feet, square your own shoulders. I have come for the man who knows he has a bigger handful than he can cope with, who knows there are forces he cannot touch; I will do everything for him if he will let Me. Only let a man grant he needs it, and I will do it for him.”

The love of God knows no racial, economic, or sinful boundaries. It had been determined long before, in eternity, that Jesus would meet with this Samaritan woman on that day.

As Christians, we should seek to share the gospel in an authentic, loving, culturally relevant way without compromising the integrity of it. We want to let people know who Jesus is. And we need to care about the people we speak to.

People can tell whether we care. No one is beyond the reach of God, no one should be left out, and no one should be written off.

Are you willing to leave your comfort zone and take the gospel to someone? Are you willing to go to people who are different from you and tell them about the love of Jesus Christ? That is what Jesus modeled for us. Every generation needs regeneration. Ours is no exception.

We have been considering some characteristics that God wants to develop in our lives by His grace: namely, triumphant living, a fragrance of Christ, godly sincerity, and becoming living letters of Christ. How do these appear in our lives in an ever-increasing manner? As Paul wrote on these wonderful descriptions of godly living, his heart was stirred to ask, "And who is sufficient for these things?" (2 Corinthians 2:16). Paul fully realized that man cannot produce these realities. Human resources are inadequate.

We have been considering how God's grace develops traits of godliness in our lives. Such studies are related to finding the source of our sufficiency. Where are believers in Jesus Christ supposed to find adequate resources for living godly lives? The Scriptures answer this question in a two-fold manner. First, God wants us to realize that we are not the source of anything that we need. Second, God wants us to understand that He is the source of everything that we need.

A lighthouse has one primary mission: to broadcast light so a mariner can see the shore. A mothers light is Jisus love.

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living

walk in the glorious expectancy that “behind the door” is the promise that is precise to the need.

Our inadequacy is the first matter the Lord desires to clarify for us. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves.

Our sufficiency is from God. As we are totally inadequate to supply what we need for life, God is fully adequate to be our source alone.

We are not so to live as if we had nothing but a body.

Stressing?  I have a suggestion, open your front door, take your Bible in hand, and go for a walk all by yourself (don't take the dog or anyone else).

We are called to tell the truth. The Bible is present, the watching world is the jury, and we are the primary witnesses. We are called to testify; to tell what we have seen and heard. Our task is not to whitewash or bloat the truth. Our task is to tell the truth. Period.

"A Christian is the result of the operation of God, nothing less, nothing else. No man can make himself a Christian; God alone makes Christians... A Christian is one who has been created anew; and there is only One who can create, namely, God. It takes the power of God to make a Christian." Martyn Lloyd-Jones (Ephesians - God's Ultimate Purpose)

Sometimes when we sin, we will find a way to rationalize it. We might even assume that maybe God is okay with it because the consequences aren't yet evident. But God is never okay with sin. And know this: The Bible says, "Your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23).

There remains a rest for the people of God. The ultimate pinnacle of the Sabbath is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus Christ, we can have true and perfect rest.

If we use language that hurts a brother or sister in Christ, we’re failing to seek the unity of the Spirit and are contributing to disunity. Therefore God’s Spirit grieves.
