The time when God wraps up history is near!
Just as the wise men traveled hundreds of miles through the desert, following prophecy and observing the star of Bethlehem to find Jesus, we have been wondering for 2,000 years, but soon just like they did, we will be on our knees worshiping Him!
We've traveled a long way, just like the wise men did in the past. Those wise men came from "the East," perhaps from Persia, which is now Iran. This means they traveled 800 to 900 miles to meet Jesus!! (The irony of it!). Just as they did, some of us have been traveling for days, others for months, and still, some for years, even decades, to reach the point where all our heart desires is— to see Jesus!
The wise men followed the spirit of prophecy, likely being aware of the writings of the prophet Daniel, who had served as a chief seer in Persia. Daniel 9:24-27 contains a prophecy that includes a timeline for the birth of the Messiah.
They may have also known about Balaam's prophecy in Numbers 24:17, which mentions a "star coming out of Jacob."
"A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel." Numbers 24:17
They were led by a miraculous event — they followed a special star known as the "Star of Bethlehem," which they referred to as "His star". When they arrived in Jerusalem, they asked about the birth of Christ and were instructed to go to Bethlehem, and they followed God with "exceedingly great joy!"
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh." Matt 10:11
Just as they were guided on their journey, we have been led by the Holy Spirit, and the same Spirit of prophecy, which testifies of Jesus!
"For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" Rev 19:10
Today we have a letter written by Jesus, a special prophetic letter written to His churches, where He unveils His true glory and tells us what is about to happen at the end - The book of Revelation!
"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near."
Hold on to that book of prophecy! Hold on to that word! It will light up our way and fill our souls on this tiring journey!
The book of Revelation is the only book that promises blessings to those who read it and listen to the words of prophecy.
God is about to reveal to this world what the Book of Revelation is all about!
Keep seeking His word, keep sharing the gospel, and keep looking up, FOR THE TIME IS NEAR!
