In hope of eternal life

In hope of eternal life, which God whoever lives, promised before the ages began.       –   Titus 1:2

The Bible does not give many clues as to what God’s people will experience in eternity. Religions in the past have painted Heaven to be a boring place.

Pastor Ray Fowler stated, “So what will we do in heaven? Will we just sit around on clouds playing harps all day? No! We will worship, we will fellowship, we will serve, we will work, we will rest, and we will rule. We will not be bored, we will not hurt or be hurt, hunger or thirst, mourn or cry, sin or die.”

Paul wrote, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you will also appear with him in glory” (Colossians 3:2-4).

Paul also said, “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself” (Philippians 3:20-21).

Believers who know God is good realize that heaven is a desirable place and being with Him there will also be good.

As the United States faces uncertain times, remember that you are only passing through on this earth. Place your hope in Jesus and, one day, you will be with Him face to face.
