YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN

According to the Barna Group, 73 percent of Americans identify as Christian.

However, only one-third of the population isborn-again.”

Born Again individuals claim to have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. They believe that, when they die, they will go to Heaven because they have confessed their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. In other words, they have experienced a heart change.

Nicodemus was a well-educated member of the powerful Jewish Council. He was a Pharisee--a group of religious leaders known for their pride and self-righteous laws.

Yet Nicodemus had a hunger in his heart and he believed Jesus had the answers. After meeting with Him one night, Nicodemus, whose name means “innocent blood,” learned that God’s kingdom wasn’t about rules but a relationship.

Despite his culture, position, and religion, Nicodemus’ salvation was dependent upon the shedding of Christ’s innocent blood. To enter Heaven, he must experience a spiritual rebirth through repentance. As a result, Nicodemus left that evening with a changed heart.

People don’t enter the kingdom by living a good life but by being spiritually reborn. So no matter how intelligent and well-educated you are, you must come humbly before God in order to experience eternal life.

As you confess that Jesus is God and ask forgiveness for your sins, the Holy Spirit changes your heart for eternity!

Invite Him into your life today if you never have.

John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
