"Wait For The Lord"

"Wait for the Lord" is not a passive resignation, "waiting" means an active process of weaving fibers to create a strong bond. As we wait, our souls should bond with God's Word, like fibers twisted together to create a strong rope. It's NOT in vain! Keep looking up! "

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning." Psalm 130:5-6

In this verse, we can sense David's pain and despair as he repeats himself. He waited while watching and finding hope in the Word of God. He was waiting for forgiveness, mercy, and redemption!

We are waiting for the redemption of our bodies! "To wait for the Lord" is not simply sitting around and waiting for His appearance.

David said: "IN His Word, I hope." During this process, our hope is found in His word. We should actively search it, explore, dig, investigate, scout, and thoroughly examine it.

We should be like watchers, looking high and low, and "running to and fro" within His Word – just as God stated in Daniel 12:4. "My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning."

We are called to be watchers of His Word as we wait for Jesus!! In this Bible verse the Strongs' definition of the word "wait" means "to bind together perhaps by twisting" which is often used in the context of rope-making. the more fibers that are added and twisted together, the stronger the resulting rope or cord becomes.

It is during this process that we develop a strong bond with Him, and we become stronger.

There is a purpose in waiting, and that purpose is to grow in faith. Everything unfolds within our souls as we wait for Him. He also has a purpose for His Church when He leads us to wait together for Him.

We become bound together in this shared experience, fostering a sense of unity and love as we support one another with patience and perseverance. The Church grows stronger, fortifying its relationships, and nurturing a sense of community. Much like intertwining strands to create a stronger and more durable cord. Waiting together helps unite the Church with Christ in a way that is even stronger and more resilient than before. As much as we may dislike waiting, it's during those moments that God accomplishes much of His work as we earnestly seek Him in His Word!

So, keep your eyes on Jesus!! Keep weaving, and keep adding more fibers to that rope, or the masterpiece He's crafting by mixing you with His Word as we wait!

KEEP LOOKING UP!!
