TO MY CATHOLIC FRIENDS

Catholics: Please discover the origins of your traditions. Peter is NOT “The Rock” of the Church. Mary was NOT a perpetual virgin — she was a sinner in need of salvation and she's NOT a co-mediator between God and men! Jesus is the head and the ONLY Mediator! Find the Truth!

I was raised Catholic, and my entire family is Catholic. I beg of you, just consider this for a moment.

👉🏼Let's start agreeing with this:

ALL doctrine should come from the Bible, never outside of it.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Tim 3:16

👉🏼"Peter is NOT 'The Rock' of the Church. Such a belief would invalidate all the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross and the purpose behind His sacrifice for us. Our foundation of faith is Jesus. He used Peter as the apostle to the Jews and later Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles. While two significant figures were instrumental in initiating the building of His Church, Christ remains our only unshakable Rock and foundation. The Church is the body of Christ, not the "body of Peter".

“For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 1 Cor 10:3-4

👉🏼Mary was not a perpetual virgin. While she was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, she did not remain a virgin. She married Joseph and had children.

“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Matt 13:55

👉🏼Mary was a sinner in need of salvation, just like any of us. She acknowledges this herself.

“And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.” Luke 1:46-47.

👉🏼Mary is not a co-mediator — she can NOT save, redeem, or intercede on your behalf. Only Jesus can.

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Tim 2:5-6

👉🏼Praying is to the Father - not to Mary or a saint. Prayer should be an instant connection from your heart to God's heart, made in private, requiring only a sincere heart. No magic words, keywords, or vain repetitions are necessary.

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly”. Matt 6:6

👉🏼Salvation is NOT by works.

Sacraments, confession of sins, penance, good works of mercy, prayers to Mary or saints—none of these save you. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. It is not by any type of work. Only by the blood of Jesus.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" Eph 2:8-9

If Mary could talk today she would say:

Go to Jesus!! Place your trust in HIM for He is the only ONE who can save you! Pray to Him, and believe in Him! NOT ME! I'm just like YOU — a sinner that needed to be saved!
